I just cleaned my whole house in my usual scatter gun way.
I'll do half the the dishes and then start wiping down the oven then I'll hoover the living room, do a bit upstairs then maybe another bit in the kitchen.
It gets done and I'm not convinced it's inefficient but it sure looks like the work of a mad man.
Oh and I listen to very calming music so I don't freak out. |

I work a bit like this. If I have one task, I avoid it. It I have two, I have no problem doing the less demanding task. So when cleaning the house, I do what seems like the easier one until I get bored/frustrated and then move to a different one. Not sure I’ve ever done half the dishes mind |

I say right, I ll do ONE hour,..... Three hours later, I m exhausted and in need of a shower. I ll have just kept noticing stuff that's dirty or dusty and I ll keep tipping away.
I m a big fan of fucking stuff out and donating.
I ve been threatening a trip to the recycling centre for the last 6 months. |

My cleaning day is Friday or Saturday main clean up day, daily cleaning routine just robot hoover in the morning, dishes in dishwasher, laundry as soon as gets enough for the load. Most important for me avoid cleaning the wardrobe I have to put on every single outfit and my day will be spent on fashion show going to the mirror and back 🤣🤣🤣🙈 |

How often is it ready for the load?
One tip I’ve heard, in regards to cleaning the wardrobe, is to turn all the hangers the opposite way. Then in 6 months time you’ll know what wear regularly |

My rule is if I buy a shirt then one has to be thrown out
Same for all items of clothing |

I have to wait until the mood takes me. I might just plan to clean the hob in the kitchen then I'm scrubbing doors and skirting boards and mopping floors. One job leads to another and I'll be at it all day |

Ruthless minimalism, if it hasn't been used in a week it's in danger of being binned, a month and it's gone. Makes cleaning much easier imo
I'm very like the op, a bit scatter gun, might clean all the sinks in the house but nothing else then 2 days later clean all the toilets 🤣 no idea why I do it but I get there in the end.

It all depends on what's happening and my mood.
I can clean and tidy in a flitter and by the time I light the candles and sit down, all is good once again in my world. It's kinda like a therapy.
Then there's the occasional scurryfunge, when someone decides to pop in and they give you 5 mins notice (ar#@holes).
If I'm doing the whole place I'll look at the clock, procrastinate, work out time frames and build the pressure and work through one room at a time.
Cleaning is easier with music playing.
Sometimes I enjoy it and sometimes it's just a necessary evil. |

Cooking/Eating - wash cooking stuff as I go, wash dishes immediately.
House - regular hoovering, dusting once per week, surfaces as needed or every other day, bedding every week or as needed (🤫🌊).
Bathroom - bath/shower rinse down every use, deep clean once per week.
Clothing - as needed immediately (as soon as there is a full wash in the hamper it goes on).

Oh dear christ on a flash mop reading the OP gives me flash backs.
I would be like that except I set myself a routine that I make myself stick to otherwise it would be cleaning chaos.
I do little bits every day to stay on top of it |
