HiB is a great place to drink. Do you remember the owner, a grumpy f#@ker, used to charge tou for the drink, and throw you out of the pub? Jad a decent night there recently

The King's Head in Galway for the music.

Murrays Pub in Helvick for the summer evening views

Cathy Barry's in Waterford for smugness.

The Shrewsbury Arms in Oxton, Wirral for the eye candy.

Ma Egertons in Liverpool, because of the sexy Tyrone barmaid who could pull a good pint, as well as....

Galway

We love the Buddha Bar in Galway. Lovely tight atmosphere, amazing cocktails including fantastic non alcoholic ones, happy enthusiastic staff, and the full menu from the Asian Teahouse restaurant side of the business. Freshly fried crispy wontons as a snack between drinks is amazing...

The restaurant side similarly has all the bar's cocktails available but we prefer the bar side's mood, even it's for a full dinner.

Not sure it's wise to post this, mind: it's already packed enough on Saturday evenings, we don't really need more competition for a spot at the counter!
