Am I the only one who misses the days of the shitty forum emojis?
The joy when you’d see someone use one you hadn’t seen before.
 is way better than 🤣
 is much cuter than 🐢
 far superior to 🕵🏻♀️
And people used way less of them   |

I generally use only old emojis in my messages. The only exception is upsidedown smiley face and maybe shrug for particular points |

I think the main benefit was threads weren’t doused in emojis cause no one could remember the shortcuts |

I always felt that the codes for the emojis, other than the few standard ones available below the text box, were very much in the gift of a few of the percieved fab elite. While some of the emojis may certainly have been animated I often thought I heard a faint clique(sic) sound from some of them.
An effort to resist progress is as futile as trying to hold back the tide.
