"Shawshank redemption "

When it was first released, it was classed as a turkey. Took a few years for people to like it. Still divides opinion to this day

Depends. Do you want to use your brain? If not, these might be the film's for you. Particularly the first few. I'm a fan.

I watched Beetlejuice Beetlejuice yesterday. A little chaotic with some parts of the storytelling a bit rushed, but I really liked the madness of it.

Movies are like trying to find the perfect woman , in other words everyone has a type , what's brilliant for one may not tweak another's interest, it's each to their own, nothing like watching a great movie , nothing as bad as watching a movie & you say " why da F**k did l watch that rubbish for " ..some think " once upon a time in Hollywood " is the bee's knees ,to this day it remains the only film l walked out of a cinema ( l suppose what made that decision easier was that the lady l was with at the time wanted to get back to her place & fuck ) 😈😈...but like l said one film might be brilliant to one but rubbish to another, it's an individual choice.

Modern movie output seems to be generally of diminishing, mediocre quality. Tired, over-hyped dull and/or woke remakes or endless franchise movies. There is the rare exception- but there's so much crap. Biggest disappointments for me were 'Oppenheimer' ('Barbie' was better imo), 'Longlegs' and 'Civil War'. I have enjoyed watching 'The Substance', 'Poor Things' and 'Late Night with the Devil' recently.

The one genre I hate is Horror. Even as a kid, the old Vincent Price Draculas frightened the shit out of me.

It was a flop on release because it got lost and no one went to see it (I must have been one of the few in Ireland who saw it in the cinema). However pretty much everyone who did see it loved it giving it great word of mouth for video and those new fangled DVD's

Half way through the second one

Style over substance

Everything could have fitted into one film

The Blair Witch Project was the smelliest, festival portapotty, forgotten in a field for five weeks, originally located next to a Guinness tent, pile of steaming shit from start to finish.

Al that movie did was give me motion sickness.
