I find myself floating through them every so often during the year and some are amazing, some are great and some I just hide in a corner and hope I can survive the night.. 🙈
I am a rather shy person and while some of the mods and attendees have been more than spectacular, I must say I have truly enjoyed them all.
As I sit here being groomed by my black cat (cause apparently my hair needed cleaning), I’m wondering what people’s experiences have been with socials to date?
Context: group socials, not 1:1 but feel free to share all experiences nonetheless! 😁 |

Very hit and miss.
Some great nights with good music, great food and a decent mix of people.
Some not so good nights with poor venues, terrible floor plans making interaction with anyone not sitting at your table virtually impossible, extremely loud music making interaction with anyone not sitting on your lap virtually impossible and inedible food or none at all.
The not so good nights were compounded by a lack of introductions from the host or hosts so it wasn't a warm and friendly place for newbies and a number of horrible guests pestering every woman in the room for sex which led to quite a few people,including me leaving after just an hour and a half.
It's difficult for organisers to get everything right and keep everyone happy though so well done to those who put in so much time and effort. |

Wow.. I can thankfully say I’ve never experienced that.. loud music can be a thing at times which tends to send my brain into off mode and I tune everything out just to not implode but other than that I’ve had rather good experiences but yeah some of the stuff hosts have to take into account can be numerous but thankfully most events I went to were spectacular!
