I must say if I did not have ties to this country I would be living in Thailand now, beautiful country, the people are so nice, they know how to make the most out of the little that they have .
A close second would be Rwanda beautiful country too. |

That's like a tourist going into Dublin city centre and saying it tarnished Ireland for them, tbf.
The nightlife, pubs, clubs, the buzz on the streets. The food, the fruit the climate, the beaches, the country side, it's a really beautiful place.

How much would you need for a two-week holiday all included per person?
Nothing fancy, just mid-range. I'd be into the buzz, climate , beaches, and especially food. Couldn't be arsed about the sex tourism/drugs - sounds like one way to get ripped off or shaken down or both.

I lived and worked in Thailand for a while and absolutely loved it. It's huge and the north and south and really different. Did a tour of SEA backpacking a few years before that too.
You can definitely find your price point.
Any of the trips I've taken there I booked a cheap hotel for the first night and just went winging it from there.
Beach huts are hard to beat! |
