Just in from a swim today. It was a little choppy out there. Glad I got it before the rain though

Belfast

Swell of between 8 and 10 feet today, waves crashing over the wall on to a main road and I saw a woman trying to get into the water.

I'm all for health and fitness but a little common sense goes a long way.

There's almost always some sheltered spots to get in if you really want your fix. But yes one must always be careful and never alone.

I have always enjoyed sea swimming grew up doing so. I still would love to be back to sea swimming but can't find someone close that is also into this as we all know you need to go with another for safety reasons.

Dun Laoghaire

Pick a busy spot and there should usually be someone there at same time. I go by myself but at busy times so there are others there. Even if no one there and can’t go in, it’s always nice to get down to the sea.

You just need the dip to get the benefits

I try to swim daily (dependent on conditions obvs)

Definitely noticing the drop in temp in the past week. It was down to 12°c yesterday.

Nothing quite like cold water/weather sea swimming. So good for headspace & the soul..

North Wicklow

I sea swim every day, if I can.

Broke my arm just over a month ago, had my first dip since today. Didn't notice water being colder than it was at start of September.

BTW fellas, do you notice the impact on your balls? Straight after a sea swim, I often feel like I have a big load ready to go.

"Great beach curracloe "

I had a really lovely walk followed by a swim and an amazing lunch in Curracloe during the summer with the S/E walking group.

Super spot.

Is your user name a comment on your aquatic ability or your virility?
