Anyone watch the new series? I'm a massive fan of the Anne Rice novels, the movies. I feel the new series is lacking depth

I read everything Anne Rice did and loved it all, but the movie was disappointing. Im enjoying the series so far I hope they continue . I feel they brought it nicely up to date

I really enjoyed the books, the series is just a bit limp. Not feeling lestat, the actor is a bit meh for me

I just read he is an Australian actor, lestat is a difficult character to portray, inhuman, indifferent and incredibly charismatic.

The acting has been excellent, the feel of New Orleans, the language and wardrobe.

He's not perfect at all, but I HATED Tom Cruise here.
