I lived in a bedsit in Fairview in Dublin back in the eighties. The wall between me and the neighbours was paper thin. You could even hear the kettle boiling next door. The couple that lived there were a woman in her early twenties and a man in his fifties. I meet them the day i moved in and i thought they were a father and daughter. I soon discovered i was wrong, or at least i hope i was. She was always in before him in the evenings and most days when he arrived in they went at it like rabbits.
