I'd usually just put it on card but it says on the listings on dayuse.ie what type of payments each hotel takes under the 'Specific Conditions' section, and whether they require a deposit. |

Sounds like he op doesn't want anyone to know they are at the hotel. Even though most hotels take cash they put a security deposit on the card which sometimes does appear on the online banking. The odd one takes a cash deposit but the room may have to be checked before you get it back. |
