How common is it for happy couples to sleep in their own bedrooms?

I’d love another bedroom in my house.. he sores like a boar and wakes me the whole time..

this working from home taking up Bedrooms to be offices is crap..

lotto win required I think..

but yes definitely think separate sleeping areas would work well.

I remember reading stories about The Queen of England having her own bedroom and how it was an upper class thing.

Nowadays when I read about it a lot of people have happy marriages because they sleep in separate rooms

It started when the kids came along and one parent moves into another room to get sleep and continued

I snore apparently.

Never heard it myself but wife has moved bed to attic.

Hasn't had any effect on sex life as it was feck all before the move anyway

I used to scoff at this and think it was a sign of failure somehow. These days id probably jump at the chance for peace and my own space. Impossible with 2 adults and 5.4 children in the house.

I wasn’t happy when my husband moved out of the bedroom due to issues with a painful hip and disturbing me. Now it’s the best thing. After 40 years I have me time! Still have a cuddle in the mornings occasionally but that’s all. Hence why I’m on fab I guess.

We made the move to separate bedrooms years ago and it's genuinely fabulous. We both sleep better and our sex life never suffered (if anything, it's better as shared bed space feels more special).

We have plenty of late night rendezvous and occasional overnights together when we feel like we need it 🥰

Used to have insecurities about the stigma (e.g. marital problems) but got over that quick when the benefits spoke for themselves 😁

Due to health reasons we sleep in separate rooms but we always get cuddles and naughty most days and having separate beds is no issue at all

Moved to separate bedrooms as we both snore, went to bed and got up at different times due to different work schedules and had 3 spare bedrooms after the kids moved out.

On a trolley in a corridor in CUH tonight but at least I am used to sleeping on my own.
