I have just, for the umpteenth time, been asked by someone with a low effort bio and blank pic profile if I want to know anything, ask away.
You messaged me! Why am I having to carry the mental burden of getting to know you! (I just blocked him).

Actually one of the worst we get, although not had one in awhile.
It's a bloke below in Clare that keeps regurgitating couples accounts with pics taken from UK Fabers and Insta.
The give away is actually funny: the message is waaay to long. I think he is trying to imitate being all "girly" and completely over does it!  |

I read ‘annoying low effort massages’ and jumped right in… that is a topic I want to get to grips with I thought… of course have seen I was wrong…
But yeah hate those ‘how are you?’ messages… Everyone needs to be excited on that first point of contact… I’ve noticed that when females make first contact it’s generally very different men. They often imply they’re attracted but won’t always outright say it. On my part that kicks in an instinct to explore the possibilities and I will definitely engage… |

What irks me is when someone can't be bothered to engage with you even after mutual interest is established. I lose all interest in the conversation if all I get are short replies. |

I only say this because the majority of messages I get are 'hey there' or 'hi, how are you?' and I really don't mind. But I'm not exactly inundated. |

It is not too bad when there is enough info on their profile to strike up some conversation, but when it's blank and you get a hey then you know it's going to be tedious. |

I think a "hi how are you" isn't the worst if the profile is good and catches your interest.
If it's a fairly blank profile, you're more inclined to roll your eyes.

You’ve answered you own question. Personalize the opener. “Hey, I see you like xyz” or “hi, I love you picture you loaded on abc date because…”
