I went on a second date with a nice guy, the night was amazing we had a good time.
He was driving me back home, I asked him to stop and I had to empty my bladder on someone's front garden.
This is not a behaviour I am proud, I take medications to control my bladder condition but it's not always perfect.
Today he called me saying he was disgusted with the event and do not want to see me again.
Is it usual men having strong feelings about this or I dodged a bullet?
I'm incredibly upset and cried for the last hour. |

Are you sure he wasn’t taking the piss?
Seriously though, sorry to hear, it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest but he’s entitled to his own feelings about it.
If it did put me off I probably wouldn’t say it in such a robust way. |

As a regular hillwalker it is common for both women and men to take a discreet "nature break" when necessity arises.
Nothing shameful, just another of life's bodily functions like coughing or sneezing.
PS.
Our fab walks are never long enough to require nature breaks and are usually located close to the necessary facilities. |

Well when you need to pee you need to pee. You can only hold for so long until it becomes a real issue. Plus it's not good for you to try and hold it in it for longer than necessary when your bladder is that full.
Maybe peeing in someone's garden put him off more than actually needing to pee. The chances are he has peed outdoors himself at some stage when he needed to.
The way he said it to you is wrong and immature. So you definitely dodged a bullet with him and are way better off without him. Do not let him upset you he's not worth it. |

Sorry you had that experience OP. It smacks of contempt and double-standards on his behalf - two huge red flags for any budding relationship.
You've dodged a bullet for sure.
I wish you well. |

Hey, don’t feel bad! I understand—it happens, and sometimes you just have to do what you need to do. It’s happened to me before, and I’ve had to pull over and find a bush to pee.
I do feel sorry for women, though, since it’s not as easy for them as it is for guys. But I’d never ditch you for that—that would be stupid! One day, it’ll happen to him too.

You needed to pee.
No biggie.
If he doesn't understand the human body, probably not someone you'd want exploring yours.
Gobshite of a guy.
I say guy because a man would not have a problem with this |

Hey girl. Absolutely his loss. Like many said, even if he had a problem with that, no need to say it, an excuse would have been enough.
I had a play meet, and was sitting naked on his couch and coughed and to my despair a little bit of pee escaped. Needing cleaning materials I had to tell him. I was so embarrassed, near crying. He was a gentleman, insisted on cleaning it and when that near made me more embarrassed, he told me how he soiled himself during an online work meeting.
So there is good guys out there, and they deserve you. Chin up ! |

You dodged a bullet. The fact that you would feel comfortable around me and taking a pee would impress me. I say impressed, not turned on. I think it would be really cool that a lady would trust and be comfortable around me to say she needed a pee. So fuck him. His loss |

Thank you for all the messages and some in private.
His behaviour has ultimately a red flag, thank the Goddess she protected me before I could be more involved.

I guess I can see both sides on this one. If you gotta go you gotta go, but if someone posted here about catching a random person peeing in their front garden than everyone would also be up in arms about what Ireland is coming to. |

He probably should have been a bit more understanding and open minded. However, did you have to pee in someone's garden?? Maybe it was the location you pee'd in and not the actual act. Which I do understand to be honest |

My ex had absolutely no compunction about going for a sneaky pee whenever she needed to. She had a kidney issue and when she had to go she had to go. She's not the type to suffer embarrassment, or fools, and anyone that didn't like it could piss off. Pun intended.
When I think about all the lads I see pissing up against any available vertical surface on the way home from the pub it's really hard to see any issue with a lady, who really had no choice, doing what she needs to do.

"Someone’s front garden was unnecessary
Could have picked a better spot "
Kinda how I feel about it too.
I have problems with urge incontinence - thanks menopause! - but I wouldn't pee in someone's garden.
As others have said, perhaps it was this he took issue with?
Either way, it has shown that you aren't compatible. |

"It would have put me off too.
He was open and honest about his feelings and why he didn't want to see you again.
Seems a situation where neither of ye did anything wrong just not a good match "
Think this is a very fair assessment |

It really depends. If I found the lady attractive I'd get turned on by watching her pee, if I didn't find her attractive I'd be turned off.
People on this site are fickle as f@#k and choices are personal, and need to be respected . If the guy was an asshole he would have left her squatting in the garden and drove off, thus deserving ridicule and general disapproval.
The guy didn't, he drove the lady home and told her his honest truth the next day.
I see nothing wrong here.
Maybe he thought you took a dump ?
That's a different story.... |

"Hypocritical. I refuse to believe there's a single man on the planet who's never taken a pee outside."
There's a big difference between taking a pee "outside" or on a stranger's private property!
I'd be pretty pissed off if a random stranger - man, woman or child took a pee in my front garden!!!
To the OP - I genuinely feel for you, or anyone, suffering this medical condition as I'm sure it's debilitating! but in my opinion, as an adult, taking a pee in someone's front garden is inexcusable. Surely a more suitable location could have been found! And precautions taken when you are aware of your medical condition - incontinence pads etc are available for purchase in most supermarkets and pharmacies ...

It's pretty disrespectful to relieve yourself on some strangers property. I can understand how this could put someone off, but there is a polite way to deliver that message too.
It's one thing pissing in your own garden, but it's another thing to do it in someone else's.
The communication around it probably impacted perceptions too.
Either way, he is not the one for you, let it go. Shake it off. |

How many men on here haven't taken a pee on someone's property? In a garden, behind a shed etc. etc?
He who has not sinned and all that!
Maybe OP didn't communicate it very well, and some people get put out by trivial stuff like that. Dodged a bullet. |

My opinion is that “it ain’t what you do it’s the way that you do it, it ain’t what you say it’s the way that you say it.”
For instance, if I was driving someone I barely knew home and they turned to me out of the blue and said abruptly: “here pull over a minute I need to take a piss” with no supporting context it would raise an eyebrow. If the person then proceeded to foul someone else’s property instead of looking for a communal space like a wooded area, I’d be mortified by the behaviour I had just witnessed and would not want to have anything more to do with the person.
On the other hand, if the person explained to me their medical challenges and the severity involved, and if there was really no alternative than to use a person’s garden, and if the person was embarrassed about the situation to some degree, then my attitude would be very different. I’d probably joke with them about it to ease their embarrassment. When you gotta go you gotta go.
This situation sounds a lot more like the second scenario, in which case I feel sorry for you for not being met with a little compassion by this person. |

1. Sorry to hear this I'm sure there's not a person here that hasn't had to stop the car for a pee somewhere or another in their adulthood.
2. I bet he would not have been disgusted if you dropped the pants and told him to ride you.
3.I think he is being such a spoilt sport it is pathetic his behaviour
4. If it was his car he should have been damn happy that you didn't pee yourself in it and that you did get out and pee in a ditch.
5.his loss
6. Chin up don't let a fool like that dint your confidence or upset you over something 99.9% of the population would do.

I don't think I'd be impressed either if it was somones front garden.. Behind a ditch a gate maybe would have been more appropriate.. I've many a time jumped a gate or even pulled in somewhere and behind the car.. I've on many occasion burnt the fanny off myself by nettles that I've pissed on without knowing.. |
