Okay you just got a cheque for €336k from the Irish government. How are you going to spend it. This is for your locality, charity, group, building etc etc... cos bikes are boring...be inventive.

People say they would like to win millions, all I want is €100,000 to build a log cabin in the countryside, the rest I would just give it to charity cos once you don’t have to pay rent then life would be good 😅.
Even if I did win millions (not going to happen as I don’t do the lotto) I would still work, maybe not as long hours, but I actually like my job and if you have nothing to get out of bed in the morning for then life would get very boring!! |

I would give it as a €360, once off final severance payment to the top 1000 civil servants as a way of clearing out the not fit for purpose top management across all government departments and quangos such as OPW.
A wake up call to all those charged with managing the tax payers money that they need to do the jobs they are being more than well paid to do.

I would spend all of it on facilities to occupy teenagers . Idle hands are the devil’s tools. That money won’t get you a community centre but maybe a teen cafe , and coaches/mentors experienced in running groups for teenagers. Have heard great things about Foróige |

To put this in perspective, we could build a cladded shed to house 22 artic lorries, roof sides, double sliding doors, concrete Base associated works, wire it plus a year long cruise in the carribean for the same money! So take pick animal rescue shelter, community hall, playground and cash left over to buy out a plane to fly to PDI for a month |

Wow..loving the ideas. Keep them coming.
Ps l don't have any affiliation to the OPW btw... so no blank cheques for me..
I'd set up a programme where those on dsp can volunteer their time to support local projects. Helps engagement, motivation and life skills.
Support youth mental health through jigsaw.
Set up a local coop to pool trade knowledge and work collaboratively to build houses..like a communal build project.
Probably have 3euro left for a coffee for me.

I'd use it to lobby the feckers who have yet to build the velodrome which has been TALKED about for decades!
Ridiculous funding athletes to travel to Manchester and Habd further afield to train for Olympics when they could train here.
Plus it could double up for many other indoor events...
You would think it was a no brainer!
