somewhere |
Vegas
Get a taxi to your hotel there's a set price chart on the wall beside the taxi rank
On the strip everywhere is walkable
Don't know why the americans want to Uber everywhere
Don't use the mini bar in your hotel or the shop in the casino
Use the ABC stores or Walgreen for water and drinks
Dont even lift the drinks up in the mini bar or you might get charged
Everyone that serves you expects a tip ....even in the shops ....the card reader offers a tip option even buying water ...just click no
Shopping centre in Planet Hollywood is great for cheap eats and gifts especially Ocean One for breakfast
Get the bus to freemont street .....its handy and you see the real vegas
Book everything in advance especially restaurants if you're doing them but they're very expensive
Dont take a photo with the showgirls they expect to be paid
I could do hours of this but I'll want to book flights at the end |

Walk. New York is an incredible place to walk around and see things so walk as much as you can.
Go for drinks and food in the village
Look up lists of dive bars and basement comedy clubs on Reddit. You'll have the best craic with new yorkers this way.

With a week there you have time to visit somewhere upstate or New Jersey. Get out of the city it's a great place to tour.
Eat Ramen. Some of the best Ramen places in the world are in New York
Go roller skating at night in the Rockefeller center
The natural History museum is worth a whole day but don't eat there or costs a fortune
There's some great breweries and craft beer bars in Long Island City.
Visit Queens, Brooklyn, Harlem for food and gigs

Get the NY pass if you want to do sightseeing. It costs about $100, or at least it did the last time I was there. But one or two fast tracks and you have your money back. The bikes are a great way to see the city and were free to hire when we got them. |
