I think it's really important to support local businesses as much as possible. Especially in a world of Amazon and Shein et al. And, while I fully understand the reasons to buy certain clothing from the likes of Shein (as it may end up ripped, stained or otherwise), when possible I will always shop local.
Here in Drogheda we have a fantastic sex shop called Pleasure Store (pleasurestore.ie). They have an online store,.loads of regular discounts and really knowledgeable staff if you call in.
Share any of the stand out local businesses in your area. Sex related or not.
By the way, I'm not connected to them in any way. Just genuinely want to support a little cal business.

somewhere |
I use a little chemist in a village in Kildare for my medication
They text me every month
They call me by my name when I walk in
They remind me when my prescription is up
They give me vaccines without having to ask ..they see me and say come in to the private room and we'll do it
They're the same price as anywhere else but they definitely win on service

I support local businesses if and when I can.
I work for a small local business and many of our customers in the trade buy from us because of the quality of our product and also because we are local.
At the same time I don't have the means to buy something from a local business that I can get for half the price online so I have to cut my cloth accordingly. |

I support local businesses where and when I can be it tru fund raising, sponsors, goods and services more often than not at a loss BUT that's short term I knows..
On that note in saying that the vast majority have and contuinue supported me through my life in my businesses and that's not an easy pil to swallow!
Price is long forgotten after quality is always remembered..

As the saying goes, people know the price of everything and the value of nothing!
As someone who grew up in a family business I know the importance of supporting local as much as possible.
The lamenting the closure of a local business by people who never darkened its door can be a little irritating.

Huge supporter of buy local. The impact on every euro spent locally leads to a threefold impact on the local economy.
Seek out that local retailer. Often surprised the bargains you get. That 10e spent in McDonald's could keep a local coffee shop from closing.

Always try to buy fresh produce as local as possible, prices will tend to be a bit higher but the quality will be superior in a local butchers, bakery, fishmonger, or greengrocer who is supplied by local producers,it gets a trickle down effect going keeping money in the local economy,
The number of local independent owned cafés closing is sad when you see the chain cafes are popping up everywhere. |

I always ,always try to support local businesses as much as possible.
during the recession for families it was very very difficult as wages were cut , USC's , pension levies were introduced & those F**kers are still there today , families had no choice but to try & get their shopping in places like Aldi or Lidl because it cost them way too much to shop local & a lot of local shops didn't help or cover themselves in glory with the prices they charged either, families during the recession looked at their finances then made up their mind simply because they had no choice.
Am glad today that l can still afford to go to some local businesses simply because you can't beat the human touch & that's so important. |
