"I had great plans for when my divorce came through. Then I got the final bill from solicitors. Ended up having curried fish and chips with a can of Fanta and an early night. "
Thank goodness my own situation allowed for the DIY route - no shared property and kids/maintenance were all sorted through the courts at the start. Only cost €750 |

Yeah that's one of the reasons I'm not going to be planning one - all tongue in cheek. I have no doubt there will be an emotional drop of some kind even though this has been the absolute best and right life decision for everyone involved. |

Ex sister in law was in the band - serious conspiracy theorist with horrendous views on life and the world in general which in part led to the marriage breakdown so there won't be a for one night only reunion |

Thank you - I absolutely will. One thing I have learned is I will never let anyone control me ever again. Even my sub experiences I need full control and thankfully have met doms who understand that. |

How lucky you were. In total ours cost €80000.00 and that was an amicable divorce |

  Find a quiet spot, top of a hill, by the sea what ever your into, reflect for a bit on the feelings you had for the person that you married at the beginning of the relationship, give thanks for the joys in your life that have come from the relationship like kids, home, maturity etc, then think of the difficulties and hardships the relationship brought to you then.... Park it all up and move forward free and unencumbered by any feelings of bitterness. No point being divorced if your still married to the drama and hassle.

Haha I read this and had to say great idea. My own divorce will be sorted by end of next year and I can't feckn wait to be done with it. Nothing but headache and drama. I'd happy join in with you in your celebrations if your doing a wee party. |

At the start of the D process at the moment and it's been pretty horrendous but the relief that I feel and the weight that has been lifted off my shoulders is incredible. Seeing the light and the new life at the end of the tunnel is exciting |
