That when journalists tell you before the opening ceremony that the irish team's outfits for the ceremony are stunning, incredible, magnificent, eye catching, etc, maybe take that with a pinch of salt.  |

That French business owners are calling it "Le flop" because restaurants and hotels are half empty and tickets for many events are still available on resale.
Flights to Paris are going for €30-€40 and hotels are available for €70-€80 per night according to Simon Calder. |

Apparently the full access entry ticket cost €10k so there was little money left for flights and hotels anyway  |
