Best messages are Hi, I noticed X, Y or Z on your profile and found that interesting. I'm an (insert descriptive paragraph) and I'd like to chat more and see if we align. |

I don't reply to one words. Simply delete the message, unread. Like what's the point?!

To be fair I think every single first message I've received from a woman or a couple was a simple 'hi, how are you.'
So I think the problem with simple messages from guys is not so much content but the sheer volume of similar ones. |

Some turn out ok but many are expecting me to carry the conversation.
The ones that stand out in a good way are the ones that don't introduce themselves but just jump in almost as if we are mid conversation. |

To be honest a "Hi, how are you?" might get a reply of "I'm grand, thanks. You?" if I'm feeling chatty and that throws it back to them.
For me it's more about the profile and I'll generally check out the profile before I reply to any message. Shadow profile pic and 1 public dick pic won't get much response, if any. I'm looking for some personality in photos or profile or message.
