I'm going to go against the grain here somewhat by questioning the definition of celebrity.
Personally I'd consider actors as actors rather than celebrities until their career moves away from acting to them purely just being a "personality".
I'd put the Kardashians down as celebrities, and by "put them down", I mean put the rest of us out of our misery by putting them down. "Influencers" are another plague on society and I have a nice big wall waiting for them.
Special mention here for "Vague" Williams and Louis Walsh.

I think it's interesting that this writer with a global social media platform just can't seem to clear up all the confusion.
JK is on the celebrity shit list for me anyway. |

The late big Tom country music singer. Not in a bad way. More because I met him several times over the years. Such a humble man and never wanted to be famous when out about. I used to look at him mixing with others at the local football games and thinking how do others think he’s famous. He’s just one of us. I don’t mean that disrespectful. I’ve seen him and chatted to him as a person many’s a time and what a down to earth man he was. Never wanted to be known as the man he was. More wanted to be known for the local GAA supporter |
