Limerick/Clare social

Limerick and clare seems to be loosing out on lack of social events. Thinking if we organised a verified couples only social event in a bar with private area would many couples attend. We would aim to do this with free entry. We think socials are great way to meet other couples. Would there be many couples be interested? |

Claire has reminded me, we may open it to few select singles also. We have been to social last weekend ourselves and met some really nice single males and females and maybe it would be unfair not to invite them. Just throwing feelers out there if there is enough interest we will go with it. |

Yeah, we'd definitely be interested.
We met some awesome people at our last social in Limerick and we've even been on holidays in France with them since then.
We love them to bits.
We've become really close friends and it's not just about the playing.
They've become friends for life and we might never have met them if it wasn't for the socials. |

Seems like you guys are interested we would need alot more for sure. How does a mid September social sound. Just to break up the month when kids are back to school we can all look forward to something |

We would be interested in this. There’s a serious lack of socials in Munster that are limited to well verified couples (and females). |

Ok seems like we have fine crowd for September social. We aim this to be free of charge if we can get right venue. We provisionally have a date of 14th September. We need to confirm with the venue if they can give it to us. We will give you a list of nearby hotels for those who are travelling and the venue itself will be announced on the morning of the social through a telegram group chat which we will also set up.
So 14th September put that into your diaries;) |

Hello everyone we have taken everyone's concerns on board and what is coming up mostly is shortage of hotel accommodation for September 14th. We have taken the decision to possibly postpone this social to mid October. We will update here on this thread and also start a new thread with details.
Fantastic to see all you guys are interested in a social meet.

We would be interested in something reasonably close to home! October would probably suit best, or whatever
I wouldn't worry too much about other events, to be honest. They're fairly scattered across the country, not that much overlap of attendees! |

The SSE social tends to be one of the must go to socials for a lot of seasoned fabbers . And it draws people from everywhere. So it would probably take from one on the same date. I know it hard not tk clash there are so many socials on now. |

4 on the weekend after, 3 the weekend before. Pretty much every weekend there are 2 events.
