Any professional painters on here?
I'm repainting my house. Supposedly 10 year last time.. Blah..more like 4..
Anyhow.. what masonry brands would you recommend. Looking at premix only as costs.
Looking at colour trend, deluxe and crown...

Fleetwood Weatherclad.
Provided the surfaces are properly prepared, this could include washing, fungicides, stabilisers, sealers etc, and the paint used correctly, (number of coats etc), the finish should be able to last for 10 years including some light power washing during that time. |

Get a reputable cleaning company to "soft wash" the house (Hypochlorite) first.....it kills any algae on the walls which helps the paint last... sometimes you can get away without painting as it cleans the walls so well.
( Yes I do softwashing and window cleaning) |

If you wanna quickly clean the external walls; grab a 5 gallon drum of Chloras (c. €45) and a 5L hand pump sprayer (c. €30) from your local Co-op. Fill your sprayer with water & chloras in 60:40 ratio and spray every surface you're gonna paint. Do this on a fine, dry day. Wait about an hour, then wash everything down with a water hose. Don't use chloras on brickwork/roof tiles or it'll bleach the bejaysus out of it. |

Painted recently, booked the painter back in January for a slot in mid June and used little green paint. Was expensive but coverage was awesome. Pressure washed the house before hand myself off a cherry picker machine. |

"It's plaster. Stone front. But has a lot of green type algae on it. "
Honestly I'd go for Fleetwood Weatherclad it's the best on the market and it's Irish, added bonus 👌 and sorry yes I'm a painter lol |

Make sure the house is sprayed well with rocklor or sodium hypochlorite then power washed or the paint won't stay up. It kills all the green algae and the red shite that's hard to get off. Fail to prepare prepare to fail . Good luck with it . Cheap price will just lash the paint up and no preparation |

Treat the walls if needed , powerwash, can't go wrong with dulux paint and cheaper than color trend. And remember we live in Ireland we get a lot of bad weather, this '10 yrs' as people say isn't the nofm |

Dulux paint is like using water now it’s terrible great for the painter to use but not for lasting!!
If your willing to spend the extra money Colourtrend is exceptional and will last longer than others
