Don't think politics should be part of any discussion for meeting with someone from the site. Our only rule is that we try to be nice to everyone we interact with but if someone spouts their politics I believe we would excuse ourselves and leave. Politics is the source of many problems for both north and south and should be left in he past to be forgotten just our opinion by the way |

Are you saying someone's political view doesn't matter to you, but if someone starts talking about politics you would end the meet? |

I hesitate to speak here. I deliberately didn't on the other thread.
It's not just about politics. It's the manner and way a person holds them. If there is respect, if there is care, if there love (I mean in the upfront general love of people with no ulterior motive), anyone is meet able. However if I see a swastika tattoo on a fab pic, I reckon I might not be alone, in avoiding such a meeting.
Now as to how some feel about northern politics, is not it on level with the provocation of swastika? For me no. Although I know for some it is. Having made friends with some from both the Falls and from the Shankill roads over the years, it's not easy. An address can be misleading on a person's personality. And even if they don't carry all the baggage of inheritance around with them, that address sets the nose sniffing and wondering. This is an unfortunate fact.
It's best to leave the politics out of it. Until you are looking for a life partner, or you have both earned the ease of being able to freely discuss sensitive topics. |

To me the sensitive topics are part and parcel of conversations I like to have. Somebody who wanted to shy away from them or completely compartmentalise the fab side from that side would have zero interest to me, not to say every interaction I have on here has to discuss such things, but being told they were off limits or of no interest would be off putting.
I agree with what you said about how views are held/discussed rather than the views themselves (in most cases)
I think also "political views" can be used as an umbrella term for hateful views and bigotry where I'm not sure they really are legitimate politics |

Are we still talking about boobs?
I usually hold them tentatively then gingerly and gently. Followed by confidently and it even get onto groping if the mood is right. |

I don’t do religion, culture or colour. If someone shows me respect that’s all that matters to me. I’ve close friends from both sides of the community and work in a very much mixed culture workplace. My children have friends from both backgrounds and there does be 2 coloured friends over with them in our house. I come from a fairly republican area and was always told to stay away from this that and the other kind of people. But me being me i thankfully didn’t listen and did my own thing. Some of my children have godparents from both sides of the community. |
