Hi all, I am messaging from cork, why is it so hard for any woman to reply to man's ad looking for a female, often after a couple of messages, contact stops completely, for every fifty messages replied to ,only one or two replies, any advice ,thanks in advance, |

I think mostly it’s because the ratio of couples and women vs man profiles is heavily unbalanced.
To my understanding, couples/women usually receive too many messages from single men.
Ensure the women you contact are interested in single man and be in their age range preferred.
Try to get verified, it will help |

Op if messaging is not working for you then stop sending messages would be my advice....
Either go to a social if you can
Or just use the forums but not for complaining..just for having a bit of craic so women can see your personality and see if that works |

There are so many more single male profiles shooting messages and we women know it's a scattergun approach.
We can tell when it's a copy and paste and someone hasn't read our profiles.
We state our preferences and boundaries in our profiles about who we want to hear from and they are often ignored.
Having really minimal three word first messages is setting the bar low. Being too sexual straight away is a bit ick too.

Improve your pics, 3 similar dick pics (loads of women dislike them), essentially you have only 2 pictures.
Your bio and pics are terse. There is no fun, just a hint of entitlement.
You are 57 and you ll meet an 18 year old. You ll meet someone 39 years younger, and up to 13 years older. What does that say about you? Male entitlement?
You could be an 18 year old's grandad, do you not think a just legal adult is too young for you? That alone would put me off.

We don't normally post on these kind of threads but why mention his age preferences?
If it was a female with same would it be such an issue?

I ld say the same (and have done) to middle aged/older couples/women looking for 18 year olds. It's the unbalanced power dynamic that creates an opportunity for risk.
An 18 year old's brain is still forming, while mature enough to consent, there is a vast difference in life experience. A 40 year age gap is huge, particularly at the younger end of the scale.
A 28 year old would have had the opportunity to travel, work, gain life experience, the brain has matured etc, an 18 year old, is barely considered an adult. So a 40 year gap between a 28 year old and 68 year old, I think is less predatory than a significantly older person up for sex with a teenager. |

If there's one bit of advice I can give to all the single lads out there is DON'T do the scatter gun approach of sending 100s of mails (most likely copy and paste) to every woman and couple within 100 miles it's done by so many lads. If you want to improve you're engagement on here get involved in some of the fun threads on here it can be a great way to stand out from the random faceless profiles. I've had many a coffee over the years from people I got talking to on the forums and chat rooms. I've even got into relationships from match making games on the forums 
Finally if you think a swinger's site is an easy way to get the ride you're in for bad time. It's twice if not more as hard to get the ride here than going out to a pub and pulling..

Most men treat this site as a hookup site, but many women and couples aren't interested in that, they need the connection and friendship. I'm generalising of course but I think that's why most men have no luck here. Mrs |

18-99 is the default.
18-70 is a choice. No one should be surprised if that puts some people off to be fair.
OP there's a lot of men's profiles on fab so they get picked apart and shot down for all sorts of reasons
Some guys have great photos, some have a great bio and some write great messages. Others go to social events.
The one thing all these guys have in common is they found a way to make fab work that play's to their strengths.
Just being present on the site isn't enough

I think the age range is probably just a default setting for most people, it was for me anyway. I wrongly thought it would restrict contact from anyone outside the set range and I thought I'd rather make those types of choices after chatting not before. |

As others have said, the ratio is nowhere equal for men to women. I'm sure every woman on here has dozens of messages every time they log on. It'd be nearly a full-time job trying to reply to everyone.
I found that if you try tailoring your message to the individual, maybe commenting on a picture or on something they've mentioned in their profile it shows them that you've at least spent a minute reading their profiles. That has a much better chance of getting the ball rolling.

Try to do something that makes you stand out from the thousands of other single males going through the motions and trying to meet folks. Be active on the site and check out the help a fabber thread to possibly get your first verification |

Many reasons.
Not enough single women compared to men.
You might not be in their age range.
And very often (but guys don't like to acknowledge this one) she just doesn't fancy you. You can't take it personally. Most women I know only fancy maybe 1 in 10 guys they meet on the scene. Sometimes even less.
Casual sex is for fun, it's not a need. If you're not appealing to someone, they move on.
Guys also need to stop messaging people who aren't looking for you.
When I unblocked single men for just a few hours an experiment, OP was among dozens who messaged even though we're not looking for single men, and they were outside our age preferences. |

Others have told you suggestions for meeting women. I would say holding a decent conversation online usually is the best way to get meets. Us as a couple won’t meet anyone who can not talk properly on here. I mess with some to’ing and fro’ing but am crystal clear we will never meet as it’s clear they just want to get a leg over whereas we want friendship and connection with our meets.
It can be tough break into this lifestyle if your not shy try a bigger social meet (I’m an extremely shy woman so I know how bigger socials don’t suit everyone as they are daunting for me) - small intimate meets with proper connections I prefer but can take a while to find. Look into the “help a fabber” forum thread and ask will someone down your side meet you for a coffee.
Fab is not easy for any of us to regardless of gender, couple, sexual orientation. We all have different ways of doing things give it time you will find your groove….. But do start with coffees and chats or a drink or two and a giggle.

It takes time, ive never had a oh we have texted twice today lets meet, lots of messages here for women to get through, connection needs to be made and rapport etc. yes were all here for the same thing but connection is massive |
