Quite a lot of guys when asking me if I will meet them ask when will I be in Dublin or where ever it is they live. I know I can't accomodate but I don't think it's unreasonable of me to think that they should be prepared to travel halfway if I am. Is it just me or does this happen to other females too? |

Yes I get asked to travel to various places around the country.
I used to until I was let down travelling "half way" to a guy.. And now I don't.
I don't have a lot of time to meet either so like to spend it playing and not driving.. (I've daytime commitments) |

a lot of guys seem to expect us to travel to them, we get the so do you fancy coming dow to*****! yes i kknow we do travel a lot, but it seems to becoming a demand.
having said that we dont travel as much at the minute anyway, and only want guys that can accom now! as we do !  |

I don't mind travelling at all.
Doesn't really matter how far or where it is.
I normally check the local areas for accom once arrangements have been made, whether someone can accom or not, I wouldn't want to outstay my welcome.

ya we would have guys living in dublin who wont travel any where outside dublin to meet you. either you come to dublin and they are not interested either they are too spoilt or all talk, we take it there not worth the risk of travelling prob wont show up! |

I've been on another site n done a tour of Ireland Kerry cork limerick Galway mayo Donegal for a wknd Monaghan Longford Dublin Westmeath Meath Tipperary Kilkenny Carlow Wicklow so I guess ya can travel lol |

i traveled once to meet a cpl ages ago,and it was a big dissapointment!so i wudnt travel outside dublin again! |

I don't have a hard n fast rule about it...I have travelled to meet a guy and I've also met halfway but the point I was making or trying to make is that a lot of guys seem to expect me to be willing to do all the travelling! |

Sorry, I hope you didn't think I was poking fun at you, or belittling your point. I wasn't at all. I certainly think you've been unfortunate that a lot of men aren't willing to travel. Maybe they were just chancing their arm, hoping that you'd offer to travel? I don't know, I'm not even sure there's an answer? |

have also been asked to travel to meet and when i suggest they come to me and book a hotel room they lose interest .Now my standard line is sorry your too far away and of no interest to me |

hmmmmm
I think who ever organised the meet should do most of the travelling.
But should be fair all round, as most time hotels have to be paid for as well.
But for me its about polite ness and respect but I would travel the length of the country |

Yep, it is an easy thing to say, because he's right!
That's the way I look at it too!
Way too many lazy peeps here, want it all on a plate.
As my profile states, I can accom no probs, unfortunately hasn't happened much,
But if I want to meet someone then why not travel?
I can understand how it can be easy for some than others, (single,attached,married,kids,transport) I could go on and on.
But either way, you stay put and let everyone flock to you in droves (as I'm sure they are), I'll put in that little extra effort and see what happens.
