Glasto - anything interesting?

Glastonbury weekend ahead of us - and I wonder, will there be any interesting bands or comebacks this year?

It was Rick Astley last year - and Elton John headlining on Sunday, with GNR on Saturday. This year's main attraction is Coldplay again... sign of this year mediocrity?

What do you say?

Any favourites on?

I'm sitting in cork airport bar waiting for my flight over now. On my list are..

The Streets

Barry Can't Swim

Faithless

Fontaines DC

Kneecap

Joy Anonymous

Sleaford Mods

Orbital

The Breeders

Justice

Sammy Virji

But looking forward to discovering loads of new stuff too.

My inner geek is excited to see the q&a of Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg celebrating an anniversary of Sean of the Dead, and the human traffic crew running a rave celebrating 25years of human traffic.

There isn't that much at the pyramid for me honestly this year. Might pop along to Shania, Paloma Faith, LCD sound system, Cyndi Lauper (if there aren't major clashes) but it's not as good as last year.

Elton was magic, but Coldplay leave me a bit meh.

Id love any of those for a secret set too, Jarvis Cocker is onsite doing a Dj set, plus Romy for maybe the xx, but apparently it's actually Kasabian according to someone in the know.

It's a bit crap really after the food fighters last year.

Forgot about PJ Harvey, I wonder if Nick cave will make brief appearance in her slot.

Kim and Kelly Deal speaking, I was hoping to see Pixies on one of the big stages there...
