.

It's more about fluency.

Non native speakers with good fluency do fine.

But you might have some communication difficulty that could cause couples to move on if you're not a confident English speaker.

The scene can be very diverse, so it's worth saying what languages you speak on your profile, there are likely to be other Fabbers who speak your native tongue.

Definitely not my case. I can't even use my alphabet here, all you would see if I tried: "???? ????. ????? ???? ???????..."

No, it's not an issue as long as you can hold a conversation and have a laugh.

I’m the only English speaking person in the workplace. While they don’t understand me they know what I’m telling them to do. Hell even those that know me can’t understand me.

We know enough good English to be able to tell people how great Cork is, everything else is just filler

It would depend on how said person approached us if there full force then it would be a no and if they tried having decent conversations we would see how it goes but it would be more likely if it was a couple for us personally

For someone whose first language isn’t English, I haven’t had much trouble communicating.

It’s mostly about the intent and will to do it. You can sniff it out if someone is using language barrier as an excuse to get past the conversation or they are trying their best ti express ( which can be a bit hilarious but good ones laugh with ya not on ya). In person use the body language and on text well google translator works wonders !

Only thing is that one finds themselves a bit lost when the local slangs sneak into the conversation lol but then that would happen in any language and any place I would say

I don't have English as my first language and I also speak another foreign language fluently besides my mother tongue. I have been in Ireland with an Intermediate level of English and, although I didn't have any miscommunication at the beginning, I am way more comfortable with the language now, after a high proficiency test and eight years living here.

Some people can be put off by your lack of communication skills, so it is important to have good negotiations in writing (as it is easier to understand, you can always use a translator).

Some modulation will be obviously lost but this is where body language plays its part

Problem is I speak English very good but my writing is so bad , and I can’t introduce myself as I want

Your typed English is fine, you're just being harsh on yourself

The likes of Google Translate is handy though, so if you even typed it in your native tongue and then see how it looks in proper English compared to what you would've typed then you may learn a thing or two and it could help you get better at it as you go along...
