"Cabbage leaves " for sore joints" arthritis also I think.
you wrap the outer leaves around the affected area, held in place by a sleeve bandage or whatever, usually overnight..
Works apparently "
Cabbage leaves are also very very good for sore nipples while breastfeeding, don't ask me how I found out #girlstalk |

"Discovered recently sweet chilli sauce is great for a cough or a tickley throat. "
Chillis contain capsaicin which breaks up mucus hence can help with cough.
Cayenne pepper is also a great natural remedy for all sorts.
Also great for a cough are raw honey, garlic (soak garlic in honey overnight and take a couple of spoonfuls a few times a day), and ginger which is a great antiinflammatory. |

My super hot toddy:
Whiskey(optional obviously)
Fresh grated ginger.
Honey.
Fresh lemon.
Lemsip.
Honey.
Sugar-free strepsil.
I do not tolerate cloves, hence their absence. It might not taste great, but it seems to cover a lot of bases when sick.
No idea if it's ok for the dreaded manflu though |

"It won't cure the hangover, but blue Powerade certainly helps the dry mouth. "
There was a lads' magazine way back called 'loaded', never read it myself, that did a test on the best sports drink hangover cure. Powerade came tops. All the minerals, electrolytes etc.
I use rehydration salts for sports, high5 zero are my go to. Before and after drinking. Pharmacist recommended*
