2001: A Space Odyssey.
The worst movie I've ever seen, I was actually angry afterwards that I wasted an entire night watching that boring bullshit.
Literally nothing happens for 150 minutes. Just a collection of uninteresting, unrelated scenes, stitched together with no plot or ending.

"Doctor Who
Like wtf"
David Tennant as Doctor Who gave me the best fun ever watching telly with my kids
He went to regenerate
( die) and the kids started screaming at the telly and started crying
We had to wait till the following weekend to see it .....such a good memory |

"Shawshank Redemption
And I'm gonna keep saying it until someone agrees with me "
I agree with you! I re-watched it for only the second time a couple of years ago and really, really don't understand the whole hype about it, it's a very poor, cliche ridden film
Papillon (the Steve McQueen/Dustin Hoffman one) is a far superior film.

"Father Ted (what a crock of shit )!"
What? The most factually accurate representation of a country and it's people ever captured on film. Heart warming and informative.
Down with this sort of thing! |

Moone Boy is also quite decent at capturing rural Ireland in the 90s |

"I’ll second Breaking Bad, tried to watch it twice but never got past season 2 both times. "
So many people failed to get past Season 2.
Even TG4, who had unknowingly got a banger, dropped it after Season 2.
Ye all just missed one of the greatest shows ever made! There's a lesson in there somewhere! |

Aot of people don't like some great shows.
I think it's mainly because they started too late...You had listened to all the hype, but you weren't there for the suspense. That was what made Breaking Bad and GOT so good. They were just before the Netlfix binge watching era. Instant gratification fucks everything up! |

I agree. The likes of Breaking bad, before it was meme'd to death, and when you had to wait till next week to see what happened, it was incredible.
I myself tried watching GOT after it hearing people harp on about it for years, and already knowing what to expect due to it being everywhere, and I was bored. |

I was same with the Sopranos. Just couldn't get into it.
Must try again! |

I'll agree and disagree to some extent.
I've never watched any TV show twice.
I watched GOT every week when it was first aired and enjoyed most of it but the final season was completely shit and ruined everything that had gone before. Therefore if anyone asks me if they should watch it I'll say no it's pointless.
I didn't watch Breaking Bad, The Wire or the Sopranos until after they had finished and I rented the boxsets from Xtravision and watched them that way and enjoyed them but again not enough to ever watch them more than once.
I've never seen a single episode of the Simpsons and have no intention of ever watching it or any of the other popular animated shows because they don't appeal to me at all. I can't say any of them are crap because I've never watched them.
There are other TV shows that have been mentioned here and in other threads that I've never even heard of and had to Google.
Some people are able to quote from shows all the time like Father Ted.
I think I've seen 3 or 4 episodes in total and yes they were funny but I don't get the hype.
The same with Derry Girls. I'm not exaggerating when I say that watching it was like a documentary that I had already lived through and I didn't find it funny at all.
I've never finished the first season. |

"The Simpsons Jesus christ ... now you are just trying to go against the grain... who doesn't like the simpsons? Season 1 - 10 are still amazing to watch"
I shot myself in the foot by suggesting we rewatch old Simpsons with Mrs, and she realised quickly that all my hilarious jokes and quips were just plagiarised |

The whole genre of musicals, I just don't get it, why? It's ridiculous. I love sci-fi and find it easier to believe in aliens and dimensions than people breaking into song and dance. I've never managed to watch a musical, I made it 30 minutes into Sunshine on Leith, I have nightmares about the sound of music or wizard of Oz. |

What about films with soundtracks as a massive part of the film without the characters singing like for instance Saturday Night Fever |
