"I don't really rate one above the other. What I'm looking for is:
1. Are they who they say they are? Yes I am real.
2. Have they a record of turning up when they say they will?
Yes I will turn up if I say I will.
3. Who have they met previously?

I read them in hope it goes like the following. This girl is nuts, “she is capable of climbing up onto the bag and stippling off and firing her underwear into the crowd”. Unfortunately having seen any like that yet. |

"I read verifications. Some of them are really funny.
Why do some people hide their verifications?"
Because they don't want other people knowing their business?
Because they don't want hassle from people who think they should have met them instead?
Because they don't want veri stalkers? |

Yep, all of this I toggle mine on and off from time to time.
On the other hand I'm a nosy bollix when someone displays a new one |

Verifications are vital. A number of verifications from other well verified profiles demonstrates bone fides.
Never mind the naysayers, genuine profiles are in the round honest about their experiences in the verifications they give, so you’ll easily differentiate between social (profile is real) and play meet (profile is experienced)… with various degrees of enthusiasm about the experience. |

A lot of mine have left the site so the veries aren't there to be shown.
Some I don't want people to know that I was associated with at any stage.
Some were so imaginative that I didn't recognise the scenario they were describing so I won't display them. They were written as a play veri when we had literally only walked passed each other in an hotel hallway. |

We check verifications of people who ask to join our walk/hiking group. It helps to reassure members of the group that people have at least had some meets and other fabbers were happy to give them a verification. Its the only means we have of vetting new members.

For me all a verification means is
1- they are who they say they are
2- they showed up
3- they didn't murder the person
Everything else is to do with individual personalities. One person's asshole can be another person's prince charming. |

You are right, it's logical and more truthful to hide incorrect or outdated verifications rather than show them.
I am mostly surprised by people who have one or two verifications in total, but show none at all. |

I display the most recent for a week or so then hide them. I'm around long enough for most people to know I'm real |

If I show a new veri, I'm guaranteed quite a number of messages from guys outside my preferences so it cuts down on admin.
I'm currently not showing any after a number of messages from different profiles demanding I meet them because I apparently met "mutual friends". |

The most important thing for me is checking who wrote the verification. If they, themselves have a few verifications then they are most likely to be genuine. If it's from a profile with no profile photo and only one hidden verification then there is a possibility that it is not a genuine veri. Not always the case, of course. |

"When you have none they are impossible to get! "
That's 100% true, especially if your trying to get them through a 1 to 1 meet. Socials are the best way to start & get around that for most people. |

It's shocking to me how many people judge eachother on who they've met. For a supposedly unjudgmental bunch we do seem to love to find reasons to judge eachother.
I meet a lot of people at social events and I like to take them at face value. There are obviously people that I don't like on fab but I'm not going to judge someone else for spending time with them. |

I don't judge everyone by verifications but I do judge some.
If someone I've met and chatted to for quite a while tells me about how horrible and hideous other fabbers are and then they post glowing verifications for those same people I'll judge them on their agenda.
At the same time I wonder if those fabbers would still think they were hot and sexy and lovely inside and out if they were aware of what was being said about them in private?
I judge people who enable fabbers like that and choose not to meet them for those reasons. |

Not true. It's never been easier to get meet verified "
Really easy with a profile as hot and full of sexy photos as yours
You are absolutely right, of course. There are many socials happening across the country, anyone can get meet verified quite easily. |

In my humble opinion, Fab is very judgemental! People don't even have to meet to be judged!!
Goodness me, people are judged on who they have met, who their 'group' is, are they even a member of any of the 'in groups' and if not you are almost invisable. People stab others in the back or whose friend has stabbed them in the back etc. It can go on and on. It makes the forums very off putting to new people as there seem to be posts about it every few weeks.
My motto is if I am judged by people who do not know me, I am thankfully, never going to meet them so who care!

I absolutely read veri’s
1 . Proves they exist ..
2. Look to see if anyone I know verified the person ..
3 . As a single female I never tell lies on a veri .. I like to give a fair idea of what the person is like for the next woman to decide whether to meet up …

I would judge some people on who they met (if I know the person to be of poor judgement or involved in things we don't agree with e.g. narcotics etc)
While verifications can be a great way of telling of someone is genuine or not. Have also noticed you can tell whose a tyrekicker or not from them in the past few months. |

I've had an interesting discussion with someone recently who implied someone having lots of verifications would put people off. Is that the case? I always read verifications before offering invites to my parties or if looking to meet someone. Like some of them to be recent enough. Doesn't matter if they're social or play verifications. Good if they are from someone I know too but not totally necessary. Weary to meet someone who has all their verifications hidden. Understand there's various reasons for that though. What gets me is when someone does not return a verification, especially if they display yours. Doesn't make sense to me. |

Meant to add, I would rate generic & personalized verifications the same really. Nice to read the more personalized ones (tells you more), but not everyone likes writing them so generic is just easier maybe. |

Yeah read them see if the person is genuine lady or couple. See if they waste time etc so many fakes. See if they meet guys. Maybe bit harsh but see do they just meet anyone and everyone. Usually I look out for ladies couples with social or club verified that way it's 90% chance they won't mess about know the score and be honest and let ya know straight of |

I personally don't read the verifications as I prefer to make my own judgement on who we are chatting with or potentially meeting besides what one person likes may not suit another, nor do we display our verifications.
