Saw this on a different thread.
Would anyone be interested in joining a fab golf society?
Few outings per year with a mix of men, couples and women. Maybe the odd away trip.
Seems like it could be fun social wise with some extra circular fun in the bunkers  |

So much inyourendthough(innuendo)with golf ...hole in one...playing with balls ...gripping the shaft... Playing the back 9...playing a round...it's endless ... That said, great idea to try to establish a society...secret of course!!! |

What way would it be run ? As in just pick a course and all play an open there or actually book as a society . I’d say if it’s as a society you would want all the money up front as I’m sure plenty would be no shows |

I grew up close to a famous golf course, it wasn't a sport, it was more like religion. I can talk a great game of golf but haven't swung a club in decades, but if anyone requires a Caddy, I'm in. Yardage, green reading, the lot!!!! |

A lot of clubs now support the Women In Golf charter which encourages more female participation, and more fair/inclusive environment for existing female members. Check out if any of your local clubs have this.
Also see if you have any female friends who would like to take it up - easier to get started and stay motivated if with a friend |

I knew a mixed group who went playing golf together once. One of the ladies hit a really wayward shot that went out of bounds and appeared to hit a cow in the next field. They went searching for the back but couldn't find it until one of the lads notices one particular cow looking very uncomfortable. He went over and lifted it's tail, only to discover a golf ball stuck in the cow's rear end. He called the lady over, lifted the tail and asked "does this look like yours?". She beat him around the field with a golf club.  |

Golf and sex my 2 favourite hobby's. I'm probably above average in both. (self praise is no praise and all that )but get to do one alot more than the other. Can't beat an evening between the sand dunes. |

Home course is parkland but play a good few links during the year.

Same, definitely interested.
Thinking about the logistics of this a lot of hotels will accept bookings with cancellation rights up to maybe 24hr before. If a hotel was designated we could all make our own bookings, set a deadline then book a course for those that are interested?
Just a thought of how we might get this going. |
