how many times is too many to use the letters lol in one post, for me personally once is too much to see it but a repetitive use of it in the same message really gets my goat up, i think we have enough adjectives and nouns in the English language that we shouldn't have to resort to resort to the extensive use of lol |

i cringe nearly every time i see it, now I am not a prudish intellect by any means but its not funny not a statement and if the person is really laughing out loud while typing it i wish they would explain to me what is so funny as my sense of humour seems to have missed the joke |

I am guilty of using it
In my defense though I do have a very self depreciating sense of humour and also can be very sarcastic. If I don't use it with a stranger who not met me, they are often likely to take every word as gospel and either think I'm being rude, or have a low self opinion of myself |

ok i am having a bad day, i went to do a small job and by not paying proper attention its going to cost me 2k and if i just kept my fuckin peepers on the job i would have noticed that the boiler was fucked in the first place, now i have to replace a boiler a pump and about two days work as well as lick arse for a few days, i hate the taste of shit |

this week is a disaster, between ppl bouncing cheques and then this, oh Mr bank manager is not go..in to like me Tuesday, how as ever things should turn, but i still won't tolerate the use of lol. I mean if i sent the bank manager a letter sayin i hate no money this month for mortgage lol, i know what kinda reply i would get, starting with I'm not fuckin laughing |

i agree, it is extremely childish the use of "lol" more times than not. especially when a single males posts or privates with a half arsed suggestive remark or request, and then thinks they can get away with by putting a "lol" after it.....ffs |
