Every body type

I see on a lot of guys profiles that they like every body type.
Women's profiles seem more likely to be more specific and will say what they like whether it's dad bod, toned, tall etc
Why the disparity?
I know I have a type. It's not set in stone for sure and personality is a huge factor in that but there's definitely a theme for me when it comes to initial physical attraction.
So why don't guys say what they like? |

Keeping all options open. They prob have a preference, but don't want to alienate the women that are in the categories, lower down their preferences order. They say they are equal opportunists, in order to have as many options as possible.
Similar to men swiping right on every woman on tinder, and the deciding after their match options, if they are actually interested or not. |

I don't have a type so I won't make something up just to have it on my profile.
It's funny though that the immediate reaction is that men aren't fussy.
What about all the women who don't have a type listed? Are they not fussy either or are they allowed to not make an issue of it without being challenged? |

"We would both have a desired body type, but a good connection will override this for both of us.
Amazing what you learn about yourself during your swing journey "
This would be very much the case for us. We're attracted to what we're attracted to, at a particular time!
We would have slight preferences, but they wouldn't be strict and a connection will always be the decision maker! |

Don't think there's lots of women sending fanny pics to every new blank male profile that joins fab. |

That doesn't answer the question though. The op asked about disparity.
I've seen lots of women's profiles that say they aren't bothered by body type, just don't be a dick.
The only disparity I see is the assumptions that are made dependent on whether a man or woman says it.
Man can't accommodate he's cheating.
Woman can't accommodate, she's thinking of her privacy.
Man says he doesn't have a type, he would fuck anything.
Woman says she doesn't have a type, she's open to exploring. |

True enough about the differences
The biggest one I see is the advice to men about going to socials ( I'm guilty of giving this advice myself )
Don't drink too much ...no one likes a d*unk bloke
The only people I've ever seen out of their heads at socials is women....funny enough they never get called out for it that I know of |

Of course I'm not talking about all men or all women. Just a disparity that I have noticed myself.
And I could be wrong but I am struggling to recall a male profile that is quite specific the way I see some women's profiles
And I am in no way shitting on men here.
I am simply curious about attraction and how the different sexes experience/approach it. |

It's an interesting observation. But l think maybe men aren't as overt in their descriptions because dont want to a) come across as being picky..when the odds are against them statistically b) Would probably get called out on it. But most definitely are in socials, true preferences come out, to a somewhat abrasive way. |

It's also possible that there is bias in my observations as I almost certainly don't look at as many men's profiles as I do women's
I did get an interesting response via PM on the subject suggesting that our basic genetic imperatives are also a factor here. Women may naturally be attracted to and more focused on choosing a single type of suiter whereas men may be following a drive to spread the seed as much as possible, so to speak.

Telling single blokes to attend socials is a bad thing, really?
Agree on the women drinking though, and the other assumptions about men! |

It's entirely possible there isn't a disparity but it's evident from the answers already posted that there is at the very least a perceived one.
Men don't want to get called out for having a preference and being exclusionary
Any hole is a goal
Beggar's can't be choosers
Etc |

Can l add here as well..socials can also be a good litmus test. I've been blatantly ignored cos l don't meet their type or attraction when it may just be a quick hello..not l want to rideeee ya all night long... does anyone think that in conventional socials , a person wouldn't be as rude. But in fab world, being obnoxious is acceptable |

Sorry...I did mean the advice given to men going to socials....don't drink to much....didnt mean to imply not to go to socials.... |

Maybe because of double standards.
Single fems or couples seeking someone based on their height, build, looks etc is seen as a norm. However men seeking what they want in a sexual partner is seen as having notions or being conceited, and for some reason, anyone who doesn't fit into that desired criteria, tend to get very offended reading about it.
Genuinely, maybe some men don't have one body type they're interested in. Maybe the rest that do are just trying to get on without offending or getting unwanted negativity.
I'm not a man so I dunno if men even think that much about these things when writing their profiles

Personally, my "type" isn't about physical features. Enthusiasm, a filthy and open mind, confidence and a lack of inhibition are all qualities that attract me to many different body types, I would personally never rule anyone out based on what they look like but everyone has their likes and dislikes |

The website is a mast fest, so even ugly chicks have options. Fair play to them, they have the power. If you don't fit the requirements, don't message them I say.
I have my turn ons and turn offs, but they're not necessarily physical. |

In our case Sue picks on looks from a face pic not body type and tends towards 30s guys whereas looks not a big issue at all for me nor age once over 25 or so and more opposite to Sue in if anything tend towards older. Body type not an issue at all for either of us. |

Ugly chick is very a harsh way to describe anyone. And honestly 'fair play to them' sounds a little condescending.
The trope that women have all the power on fab can only be true if men have no agency.

I'm honestly explaining my thoughts, if you're offended, I'm sorry you don't have the ability to hear that sort of thing. I never used it to describe anyone specific, I also know I'm no oil painting myself. That's how honesty works.
White knighting is kinda gross

Hearing something is one thing.
Agreeing with it is totally different so just because a man has a different opinion doesn't mean they are white knighting.
I think it's a horrible statement too.
