Invite twice as many as you want to actually be there. Many won’t turn up.
Have rules about what rooms to use, start time and finish time. Be aware of noise and neighbours.
I prefer play to be in a separate area from socialising.

I'm not the voice of too much experience but I did offend a host accidentally by using a wrong bedroom. It turned out my play partner knew but didn't share the info. I was quickly forgiven but I'd say put sign up on the door or lock it.
My big thing is creating an atmosphere. Soft lighting or better still coloured flood lights pointed up the wall.

Set a few guide lines such as
Guys can't just join play with out and invite to do so .
No means no .
Ask people not to get too d*unk it can spoil it for everyone else.
Some parties have a room especially for gangbangs and one just for people you ask specifically to play with you.
We find these are the most common and put most people at ease.
Have a few simple games to start nothing to explicit for a start just to relax people.
