Wikipedia says hydrox is a cream filled cake.

Looked at the race thing, but can't find the info on distance.

So the distance is 8k in total running. You can do it alone or with someone. Depending who you do it with will depend on the weight for the bag for lunges or farmers walks etc

It's to find the right training program, after a good leg session I'm fucked for 3-4 days and to sore to run and that's no good.

So any advice greatly appreciated

Depends what your aiming for.

You need a good plan that’s hyrox specific so you’re not in that position.

Get yourself to your local hyrox gym and use their programming.

Or try a CrossFit gym and tell them your goal is hyrox and they will do the programme.

If not, MD hyrox coaching online is class

Running is key. So make sure you get some slow steady runs in.

I have just started training for one. It's a proper lung buster but great fun.

Signed up for the singles. Do a fair bit of crossfit workouts (murph last week) and I like a long workout of 45 to 60 mins. Plan is to build more running into the training schedule over the next few months. Will build up on the weights heavier than comp day on the wall balls (train with 9 kg), sled push and pull and get used to doing long stints of burpee Broad jumps

Oh BBJ’s are painful haha. I enjoy the sled. Lunges and wall balls is where I had to deal with the mental demons! Oh it was tough but felt so good 30mins after the finish!
