Omg ,I have been supporting them right from the start and wow they absolutely smashed it tonight. The staging was mind blowing, so unique and so different. Our annual Eurovision party is going to be very special this weekend. Go on Bambi bring it home |

I've genuinely no interest in Eurovision at all and haven't watched it since Johnny Logan last won.
I haven't heard any of the songs so can't comment but I'm curious why Australia are even in the competition? |

Win,loose or Draw, she has got further than anyone else in the last 10years. Even if you don't like the song, or her or whatever, she represents us as an Irish nation, not our government or RTE. Leave politics out of this! It's a song and show competition she deserves to win it purely on merit and performance. I for one wish her well in this final and hope she gets something more after the show ends. |

"Christ the UK one was muck
Gonna watch this eve and hope the Israeli gets the shit booed out of it.
Why are Australia and Israel even in it?"
Because their broadcasting companies have been members of the EBU for many years. Israel have been taking part since 1973 |

Australia has been competing for the last 9 years in it.
Eurovision is the longest running annual tv music competition in existence. Stands at 56years! None in 2020 over covid! So the streak is broken.
But why do France, Italy, Spain, Germany, UK and Sweden get to automatically go through to the finals when we won it the most!
AUSTRALIAN SBS has been broadcasting eurovision since 1983 and EBU invited them as wildcards, so it's sponsorship they require to join in.
Israel has been in the euro vision since 1973, first won it in 1978 and are members of the EBU. And they have won it 4 times so far.

They go to final automatically as they the biggest funders of the event.
Aus and Israel are not in Europe.
Only reason Ireland ever won it was that it was a judging panel that voted. I don't think Ireland have ever won it with a public vote system. |

"Did they mention the hostages? Or the murdered ones on October 7th I bet not
No and funny enough they didn't mention the massacre of 000s of innocent people either by the IDF" I only saw our entry on the Late Late Show and yes I think she’s amazing |

Bambi an amazing performer.
Interesting that the song either got 10 or 0 points...so marmite levels of like/dislike.
Which i can understand.
Bambi is a star in any case |

"A very forgettable song. Not one you would listen to over and over. Anyone I asked didn't know the lyrics. Well done to Bambi for pulling in the points"
Irelands entry was very catchy. Both the lyrics and the tune! |
