I've only faked it once before. Now I just say if I didn't and don't make a big deal of it.
I wouldn't say I can tell 100% if a partner fakes it, bcos there are times when you're left wondering. But most of the time there's no doubt.

To be fair, you are seeming to suggest that if a woman fakes an orgasm it’s the man’s fault.
Is this the general consensus amongst women?
I don’t have a lot of experience with this, but, on the odd occasion, at no stage did I ever think it was because of the person I was with.
I just came to a point during things that I decided it just wasn’t going to happen, for a variety of reasons, and decided the best thing to do was fake it at, at the appropriate time.

I learned many years ago not to make a big fuss on the rare occasion that a girl doesn't cum with me. Usually I try and eek at least two out of her, but if for some reason it doesn't happen it's ok for her to say it's not going to happen and to leave it there without anyone freaking out. It's WAY healthier for noone to make a fuss. She doesn't want to feel pressure to fake it to make me feel better. I'm confident enough that she knows it's going to be ok for her not to cum in this occasion. Nobody gets a bent up ego and we can have another go in a little while and everything will be ok. |

You're right, it's not always the man's fault. Sometimes there's no fault to be attributed at all.
Tiredness, illness, medication, not being in the right head space ...all reasons why I've faked it and nothing to do with the man at all. |

To have good sex, it isn't necessary for it to always end in orgasm, well for me anyway.
Sometimes you want to concentrate on your partners pleasure.
Sometimes you want the rush of doing something risky and quick.
Sometimes you can be brought to that edge over and over without falling off it.
I can think of hundreds of scenarios where it wouldn't happen but has been extremely satisfying. 
Have I faked? No.
I would prefer if the person I was with told me they didn't cum or were unlikely to, than fake it. |

•too d*unk, it's not gonna happen.
•the play partner just isn't hitting my spots.
•I'm too self conscious to let go (connection maybe isn't there)
