Film everyone goes on about...
Jump to: Newest in thread
Just looking at a forum about films and there are so many films that everyone raves about but I've never seen, like
Shawshank Redemption
Pulp Fiction
The Matrix
When Harry met Sally to name a few...
Anyone else not feel like they have to see a film just because it's a "classic"
Not saying those are classics - I've no idea |

Haven’t seen Gladiator either, I thought Greatest Showman was utter utter kak, ditto for Fight Club and Superhero ones too. I’ve no kids so I’ve not seen Frozen or any other of the new Disney/Pixar ones. I’m such a miserable cow |

I think I've seen everything listed above, plus a lot more, as I do love movies.
Some other classics not yet mentioned that I'd advise watching are:
Shoot em Up
The Boondock Saints
Children of Men
Blade Runner & 2049 follow up
The Lost Boys
Say Anything
Trainspotting
The Blues Brothers
Stand By Me
Sin City
L.A. Confidential
Sideways
Scent of a Woman
Ford v Ferrari/ Le Mans 66
The Dark Knight (any Christopher Nolan movie)
Deja Vu
The Big Short
Thelma and Louise
Silence of the Lambs
Domino
Bad Boys
True Romance
Pulp Fiction
Man on Fire
Enemy of the State
Training Day
The Fisher King
Prince of Tides
Lawless
Dead Man Walking
Good Morning Vietnam
Good Will Hunting
The Crow
Terminator 2
The Departed
The Bourne series.
I'm stopping now but if you can't find something to love in the above, check if you've got a pulse |

I have friends who have tried to get me to watch Nacho Libre.....by many means.
It's considered by some a must watch, not sure I it's considered a classic....but feck....the idea of sitting an hour or two listening to Jack Black makes me want to vomit. |

Where the Streets Have No Name |
"Mr here.
I very rarely remember if I have seen a film I am often over half way through a film before I dawns on me oh I have seen this before "
Ha!
My dad always falls asleep during movies!. It's great gas. I regularly switch movies half way through, but make sure it's the same lead character in both!!
He'll wake up and Tom Hanks is stranded on a desert island - and dad will wonder how the heck he ended up there!! ..when he started out by trying to crack the Da Vinci Code! |

I enjoy going to the cinema. My favourite cinema is the Lighthouse cinema in Smithfield Dublin.
My father use to bring my mother to the cinema a lot when they were going out together. Dad would buy mammy a box of chocolates. Mammy would eat the top layer and bring the bottom layer home to her mother.
My favourite movie Sideways. I did a road trip around the winerys in Adleaide. |
