Hi All
Heading to Dublin for the weekend and in need of some recommendations for good pubs / bars. I’m thinking good for cocktails, live singer/ trad band, nothing too fancy but a good vibe.
Closer to Harcourt street the better |

"Devits on Camden street, unbelievable pint, live music, great food and only 1 street over from
Harcourt street"
Yup Devitts is hard to beat for live music, craic and pints, although it gets very busy |

Try and Stay away from Temple Bar if you can, check out the flowing tide too, music on a few nights a week, with downstairs open Fri Thursday,
PS I don’t work there but do have a wee sing song with the guitar every couple of weeks |

People seem to always say this but I think tourists love Temple Bar. I’ve brought many a gang for a pint there and they’ve always enjoyed!
Not somewhere I’d like to have a pint (Palace Bar excluded because I think it’s a nice bar) but for a tourist it’s nearly a right of passage. Just my opinion mind… |

"Keoghs St Anne Street has the best pint of Guinness in the known universe. "
Think this quote could start it's own thread ......
Mulligan's or Palace surely |

You don't often get good cocktails and live music in the same bar..
But for cocktails, Dublin has several very cool speakeasy-style cocktail bars.
You'll need to make a reservation but you can usually find open slots on OpenTable. I like Perule & Periwigs on Dawson street. But with a Google you'll find several more. |

Crafty Fox on Camden Street is doing Guinness and craft beers for €5 a pint!

I'll 2nd this, love Keoghs.
Great pints, and the general old vibe is cool. Although for me it's probably more of a day drinking pub, and there's nothing wrong with that!! |
