As the evenings get longer and brighter, seasonal sea swimmers come back out, is there many here who go - vico, 40ft, bullock harbour etc coming into the summer evenings

The feeling is unmatched, would be good if a social meet happened out of a sea swim could be ideal

This is my first year swimming in the sea right through the winter and I have to say there's nothing like it!

Fair play, I always try to do this but find if you miss a few days when it starts to get colder it hard to get back into it.

That’s absolutely it, I hadn’t been in maybe 2/3 weeks and was in Sligo went and took a dip in a lake and my god it was a shock but right enough after it felt great again

I love my dips in the ocean. Bit choppy today and chilly. But always worth it.

I try & get out once a week anyway all year round.. it can be tough to face some days but always worth it..but especially if your not used to it, please focus on your breath.. when u catch ur breath focus on your out breath being longer than your inbreath. This will help slow your heart rate as your body goes into shock & releases cortisol fron the cold.. I lost someone close a few years ago from cold water shock.. so please be careful..

I'm a summer-time lake dipper. I do love swimming outdoors but the waves and currents in the sea freak me out as I wouldn't be a strong swimmer.

I'd be a bit like that, rarely go out of my depth and never go in when noone around. To dangerous

Haven't had our 1st swim of this year yet but normally the 40ft or Donabate beach. Roll on higher temperatures so naked swims
