I don't mind winks but I don't really check them as much as I used to. Wink is a good way of letting someone know you like their profile but most times when I have winked back there has been nothing but tumble or they send a three word message or soemthing. |

We used to think it was people being lazy! how wrong we were, after chatting to a few by returning the wink, we realised that for most, it is like a hi i'm interested, just to see responce.
And lets face it, a lot of messages just get ignored. So i give winks a and generaly wink back to get responce, if they dont message after i reply to wink, then i chalk it up to experience, note profile so not to be caught again |

"lol being new i thought i ment hi so just do one back to say hi is that wrong "
Not at all, I would see it as a way of someone just letting you know they like the look of your profile and if you wink back then they feel able to send a message. Can see how some see it as lazy but I think that only applies if you wink back and then you never hear from them again lol |

Theres an adage from here years ago that winking is for wankers. I rarely wink unless i'm in a hurry and don't have the time to write a mail. Now and again something will come from it. Very rare though. I get winks now and again. Usually mail (if they suit my perferances) and nothing comes from it but hey c'est le vie. |

Winks = waste of time
I never look at em and when eventually I do usually just deleted along with the friends requests from people I've not even spoken too
Admin might look into losing the wink button and replace it with a wanker button might help with some of the 'soft' frustration on here |

We don't mind winks and would wink people back if were interested but can't stand winks and a friend request ask the same time, especially as we may have ever spoke and the other people have no pics or very little info on their profile. |

I don't mind them to be honest. They're great if they are sent from a really well put together profile that has pics. I've often winked back and more.
Got to start the ball rolling somewhere I think and winks are far better than those messages you get with the word "Hi" or "wanna fuck" written from an empty profile.
