Some of the 30/40 somethings on here think us 55+'s are weird or creepy for still being interested in sex without stopping to think that they themselves are heading steadily in the same direction.

I turned 52 last November myself and I do find that there is less interest from younger to middle age people when you hit the 50’s, I think it’s a mental thing that 50’s and 60’s is old lol,
I have always been attracted to older women myself, I think they are much more sensual and passionate and 99% of the time they are much better kissers than the younger generation, about 15yrs ago I was seeing a woman that was in her late 50’s and Omg is all I can say,

I think we have a perception problem or issue. I think those younger than us think we can’t fuck, don’t have the energy to fuck, and are basically falling to bits and might die of stroke at the first sight of an orgasm. I wonder what the age breakdown is in fab Ireland. At a guess I'd say the bulk of people are in the 30-45 range with fewer younger and older which probably makes it feel more like no one wants us oldies.
I'm not too bothered about age but I probably wouldn't have much in common with someone in their twenties except for physical attraction ( from me to them) Far more fun closer to my own age. :D |

I laugh at the profiles with a male in his 50s, 60s and even 70s with a woman less than half his age.

As a “dreaded” single guy heading towards the wrong end of 40, i can see the options dwindle as the years go on. Im no less sexual now that i was in my 20’s and 30’s but I'm a hell of a lot more confident now and much more comfortable in my skin. Less hang ups and way more experienced. Its a pity that the preference is often for the younger model but thats life. I do find I'm more and more attracted to older women, purely for the same reasons as above, more confident in their sexuality, less games etc. Roll on the years as far as im concerned! |

Really interesting reading some of the replies here. As someone who is now only 367 days away from my 60th (and who’s lovely Wife is already in her 62nd year), my view is that women get more beautiful and sexier the older they get.
There’s a thriving scene over here in England for us over 55s. Would be great if some of you beautiful Irish ladies popped over to join us more. |

A sexually confident 55 year old would be a massive turn in for me and I'd imagine most people. For me, sexual confidence, having that bit of a sway of the hips, is more important than looks really. You might have a Barbie doll or a Ken in the bed with ya but they can be as rigid as the dolls, and not in a good way. |
