I know he scored a good few points against the dubs but surely "time" is a bit harsh.
As for the incident in the bar, if you weren't there you should maybe "shut the f@ck up about it " ....

This winds me up no end. Being a sportsman (or any particular profession) should never, ever have bearing on a sentence. I'm sick of this "ah he's a fine upstanding local lad/it was out of character" rubbish that seems to be so prevalent especially in GAA circles. Like when that scumbag Mickey Harte gave a character reference to a man who'd pleaded guilty to r-ape several years back. |

100% correct, unfortunately the GAA are well known and have a history of stepping in when any of their 'stars' have misbehaved. No shortage of funds in that regard, expect a suspended sentence and community service etc. Pretty much already decided given that he played last night, they know the score already. |

Yes he was found guilty of 2 counts of violent disorder by a jury that heard all one evidence .the same jury on the same evidence cleared him of an assault charge .
I think it's important that this be noted too . |

If he was found guilty in a court of law then he should do the time that is suitable for the crime no organisation should be able to step in and get a reduced punishment for a person no matter who or what they are in the public eye. There seems to be a trend of celebrities or sports stars getting a slap on the wrist instead of the proper punishment. |

An Irish Rugby captain literally walked into court in a very high profile case to give a character statement for his teammate guilty of r.ape...IRFU never batted an eyelid! |

He will just get a slap on the wrist, I'd imagine.
When you see the amount of scumbags that get suspended sentences every week in this country and they've countless convictions, I'd be surprised if he got sent down. |

If you’re referring to RB and PJ, one was listed as a potential character witness but wasn’t called and the other was acquitted.
The IRFU revoked his Ireland and provincial contracts. |

Everyone before the courtsis entitled to Character witness so if someone is in the public eye should it be any different. Like John Kiely for Hayes. He knows him better than anyone of us.... |

You have just decimated your argument by asking me to side with him because you think I'm from Limerick. And by comparing his actions to a totally unrelated assault. Your argument can't stand on its own merits so you deflect left and right.
The attack on a kid is atrocious, nothing to do with Hayes' assault on a young lad. |

Well from watching the news and reading the paper on record, it appears to me that the victim was just chatting to a lady. The guilty person seems to have taken offence to this.
We will see what the Judge does. |

It’s the straight lads getting the Trannies to top of hot pics should be locked up the drive for five is on. With or without Kyle, next man up..!! He won’t do time though..!! Was he wrong. 100% . He was 19 it’s been years, he’s been thrown into every possible good look situation since. It’s not right but that’s how it is. Diarmuid Connolly, John Leahy, Cathal Barrett all had incidents. Not saying it’s right or wrong that’s how it is. I’ve seen my brother get a worse hiding from a certain “community” for being in the wrong place and nothing was done then, another friend was stabbed and badly injured being in the wrong place. Kiely has him back in early to get the abuse out of the way before the championships starts. If he wasn’t an all star hurler people wouldn’t care. They want him done cause he’s in the public eye and they’ve ready something Karen wrote on Facebook but in reality I’m seeing fellas get away with this stuff all the time. Granted some do get the maximum penalty. Slap on the wrist I think. Again I don’t condone any sort of scumbag carry on like that. Anyone in my area |
