It is safe. I’ve been there a few times, on my and with a lady friend. Guys were respectful when we played, didn’t get too close without asking.
She loved it.
I met some random couples there when I went on my own, although it seems couples are infrequent. It was definitely fun though |

I would consider my self a regular, in that I would call in probably once or twice a month at least if not more.
I have never found it to be intimidating or unsafe, sure you can never say with certainty that every person going in there will be respectful and normal, but I have only seen it once where a guy must have taken too much of something and became a nuisance to everyone ....so we complained and he was removed from the place.
While I'm on about safety...if you are a Woman, I would say, perhaps consider going in with a Male companion , even if it is not your bf or partner. Men in there will always be respectful and know their boundaries, but things can sometimes get quite exciting and a Male companion with you, calling the shots, would be no harm.
