Why does anyone worry about anything?
No matter what your shape or size, most people will have some insecurities. "Fixing" those insecurities is not as simple as someone saying "I don't know what the problem is, I think xyz is great". It's almost akin to telling someone with clinical depression to just cheer up |

I'm a curvy women and proud of it in fact I work hard at the gym to keep those curves and get those thighs thicker. I don't feel the need to compare myself to anyone. Women come in all different sizes and shapes we should all be celebrated. |

This topic comes up again and again in one form or another. Personally I love all types of shapes and sizes, but it's the attitude and way a woman holds herself that is the hook for me. However everyone will have their own type and prefence, which may change over time.
The main thing is to treat people with care and not dismiss them. Everyone can be sexy in one way or another or in many ways. It's not a competition.
Feck it. Just be free. Don't be bound by fear or standards imposed or picked up.
Be sexy whether, thin, flat, round, fat, curvy, ample, tall, short, 3 inches or ten inches (yeah fellas).
Be free. Be yourself. Nothing more sexy than that! |

Applause from me.
You might not need it, but I like to hammer home positive stuff. |

I prefer curvy people too but it's easy to compare yourself when a lot media shows the beauty standard as for women to be as skinny as possible or to have a tiny waist and be a little curvy. And to have fat shouted at you constantly and to be told you need to loose weight to be attractive, just trying to show some reasons why curvy women can feel bad about themselves even though they shouldn't |

I’ve more curves than a Curlywurly, and I say it in my profile, but not because I’ve an issue with it, but it’s not for everyone, and I’m okay with that. I have and arse, belly and round bottom, and I like them, and so does my Mr Meath |

I've no issue with calling myself fat. I even say so in my profile. The people who seem to take most offence at it are the men who message me "You're not fat, you're gorgeous" like the two things must be must be mutually exclusive |

Actually we don't. I certainly don't and my friends certainly don't go on like that either.
Women may say they'd like to get healthier, fitter or lose a few pounds but comparing ourselves to skinny women or other women is nonsense.
As for looks, we all carry insecurities or feel less confident about things we deem to be less attractive to ourselves or to those we want to attract. It's a total headf*ck really and I'd safely say men go through this too. |

Not sure what the meaning of curvy is here , maybe plus size or maybe hourglass , who knows but as a plus size lady I’m often called curvy in some way to flatter my lumps and bumps and that awful BBW which I hate anyway . But as for comparing or worrying about anyone else well I love women of all shapes and sizes and we should all be celebrated. I often get “ I hate thin women “ from men in my inbox who have meet verified the very women they claim to hate . I’d say most on here would say mass to get their own way . So live and let live I say . |

"We all have preferences. Op has his. No one is here to judge. I say on my profile l like chunky guys, it's my preference.
So Six Nations... Is my poxn of choice.
Your 100% right, in that.
Personally speaking I'd NEVER put. Meself as Chunky(I am Chunky, so to speak alright & I WOULDN'T put in a good way either) & the Six Nations, together in anyway. More like FAR from it, REALLY. "
Therein is the challenge.. labels.. Curvy, hourglass, bbw, chunky, dad bod, bbm... Each label gets interpreted differently.
Maybe l should say l like rugby build... Or will l find myself inundated with Peter Stringer lookalikes... |

Definitely agreed with your last line ....it can be hard for men too when you see such perfection on here sometimes to be honest
But we're all different and what you might think as perfect then someone else can see as imperfect
Sure the fun is in the finding out |

Curvy and hourglass are pretty much the same thing.
The most desirable of women's figures.
Unfortunately it's completely skewed on here when used to describe a figure. |

There are plenty of sites and content available online to show what an actual curvy figure should look like.
Put simply if your waist is around 30% smaller than your hips and boobs, chances are you are curvy.
This is why you can have a woman who
Is like a size 18 and she can be considered curvy. |

That’s going to cause more problems than the interpretation of curvy, and it may even come down to one single topping….. |

Isn't the whole thread just a red herring really.
It pains me to say that there are guys who start and comment on threads about women's bodies that attempt to prey on their insecurity but I've seen it so many times here now.
The net effect in my opinion is the overall erosion of trust in men's sincerity.
It reminds me of a woman once saying 'You don't have to say that, I'm already naked'.
Guys going around saying bigger is better or slender is sexier are really just displaying a lack of sophistication and subtlety.

In all seriousness, those who eat pizza with pineapple on it are committing a crime against humanity |

"are we the only animal/species on the planet that get sex and looks mixed up?? ie 1 human "needs to look like this or that then maybe sex 2 monkey "we horny we shag""
I base everything on Koinophilia!!
Koinophilia is an evolutionary hypothesis proposing that during sexual selection, animals preferentially seek mates with a minimum of unusual or mutant features, including functionality, appearance and behavior.
Anyone out there with a minimum of unusual or mutant features please get in touch |

Like other animals we want to have healthy offspring with desirable genetic traits and so we pick mates who show signs of this. Strength, no signs of disease, even facial features, healthy looking hair / shin. In times gone by is was considered that larger body types are a sign that they are not short on food and so have the resources to feed any children. We mostly process all this when we meet a potential mate instinctually and don't even consciously think about it. It's an interesting topic. |

The curves is lovely and I assume I am not the only one who adores it. Last time I was out for drinks with my friend couple, she is curvy. In the end of the evening I told her: look around and see how many slim or athletic lady stay alone , you you will leave the bar with 2 nice fella |

For me there's nothing wrong with calling myself fat. Not because of societal pressures but because it is simply a descriptor. I'm not degrading myself, or putting myself down. Similarly I've no issue with someone else describing me as fat. I am fat and I don't need it sugar coated. The problem lies with the intent behind the word. If it's used in an attempt to cause hurt, or to shame or insult me, that's not ok. |

I had a conversation on this recently and tbh it's still actually bothering me. Asked the question re surgery or injection for weight loss..I'm sure it was well intentioned but got me thinking..ffs..I live in this body, dont l know it's issues... being hung up on perceived imperfections by others...l know, arrhythmia forget them..but judgement is everywhere |
