Get a New York pass. It’s very handy for getting into certain attractions quick. Some places have special queues just for pass holders. Also comes with a handy book with the list of all attractions available for it to be used for. Would highly recommend a visit to world trade centre museum. Very poignant. Lovely to be there in evening time to see the north and south waterfall/pools lit up |

As above but also the twin towers museum. Having been up the towers many times over the years,it was a very sobering experience going in there. Chinatown and little Italy are worth a look. But be aware NY is a very expensive trip. The resort tax in the hotels is a complete rip off. Enjoy your trip. |

Walk the Highline.
Find a few hole in the wall dive bars off broadway and drink whiskey
MOMA, The Natural history museum, The Guggenheim, and the likes are all great. It's better to pick one show in those places and go see that if you don't have all day.
Some of the best Ramen you'll ever eat is to be had in New York.
Roller Skating at the Rockefeller Centre.
The Lego Store, Sacks and Macy's are all cool and can be done quickly if you can't be arsed actually shopping.
There's loads of amazing dingy clubs with great stand-up comedy in NY.
Enjoy! |

South Dublin Area |
Been a few times.
Hooters or shake shack for food are probably best places to eat. Fancy restaurants are crap and not worth the money.
As already mentioned high line is fantastic
As is getting the subway to brooklyn and walking back over the bridge.
U.S. Intrepid is incredible, the navy museum. Even has the space shuttle.
Wax museum. Watch out for the people who try help you on subway.
Dont bother with taxis, walk and subway everywhere

Bars
There’s a nice bar hidden away in Central Park if you go that direction
Legends bar for pub food and drink great place. Downstairs is an amazing sports bar with loads of screens, show everything
Mcsorleys is worth a trip, only serve two types of beer
The dead rabbit,great Irish bar
There’s a speakeasy called please don’t tell, never made it but meant to be great
Ellen’s stardust diner
China town, not worth the trip
The bronx, cool laid back place with nice bars
Enjoy |

+1 on the Intrepid
+1000% on Ellen’s Stardust Diner. Broadway performers are the wait staff and are phenomenal performers in there. They pass a bucket while you’re in there. I think we gave $10 each. The food is Eddie Rockets type fare.
Don’t do the Empire State Building. One Vanderbilt is a new sky scraper and is an amazing experience and fantastic views too.
If you’re into history then I’d recommend a guided tour of the New York Historical Society Museum. Next door to the Natural History.
Wall Street ferry up the side of the island is great too. $4 so a no brainer.
The Met. You could spend the full 5 days there and only see a quarter of it.
