Hey fabbers,

Looking for thoughts on whether Feeld is worth it as an app in Ireland? Someone recommended it to me as a dating app for alternative relationship styles so I thought I'd check here before I bother setting up a profile.

Basic info: yes I'm wouldn't mind a genuine romance. No I don't want to use it just as a sex app. No interest in exclusive-type situations though.

I'd love a fab-type partner ideally but fab isn't necessarily the place to meet them.

Any thoughts welcome

TBH I'd never heard of it till now. Suppose a lot depends on if it is value for money and if there are many using it. A lot of sights massage the numbers to let you think there's more people on said site than there actually is. Best of luck OP. Be interested to know how you get on though.

It’s one of the better ones imo but there aren’t a lot of people on it.

I've met some really cool people on Feeld. As said above there's not loads of people on it but that just means you spend less time swiping.

Any other feedback about Feeld is welcome here too!

None of them

Feeld is the only one I’m active on at the moment and I’m not really very active on there

I find Feeld a good app to use when i travel to the canaries. Works a bit better than Fab as all you can use is who's near by or the forums . As for local ,havn't come across anyone local on it but a few up the country . But it is a interesting app to meet like minded people.

If you're in Dublin you'll get to see more profiles based out in Wales or even Liverpool than Ireland based ones, and you won't know until you've matched.

I find that then profiles there tend to be bit more honest than the Tinder ones.

Not too many people on Feeld yet though.

Hey worth a try I'd say.

We've used it with success. I know people who use it often.

It will have the same issues as anywhere, more men than women. Less active outside cities.

But it's worth having a profile.

A lot of people looking for non-monogamy would start with an app, instead of a swinging website because that's the norm for younger generations.

I've met a lot of people through Feeld who I persuaded to set up Fab accounts and start attending parties.

Compared to something like a Tinder, you at least know people are open to something like this.

If your open to actually dating it's a good call. I would say the norm on there is a regular FwB at a minimum. Less of an audience for those one off quick hookups.

Thanks! That's good info. I have downloaded it anyway and we'll see

Yeah Ive no interest in a monogamous relationship and I do like short meets/sex only etc etc but I am actually a romantic and certainly wouldn't mind a special someone to share adventures with while having a great open lifestyle.

I see couples on here and am amazed by and envious of how fantastic their relationships are but honestly at this stage I wouldn't have a clue where to start to find a partner like that

It's all one big fab adventure

I've yet to meet anyone off it, very few people use it, that I can only "like" maybe two a day and it says no one else nearby within 50km. Lately though a lot of fake profiles are appearing on it linking you to some other apps/sites

Damn you mean those dozens of sexy Asian girls with their weirdly long slim legs all apparently within 50km aren't real? Well that's my faith in the internet ruined ????

I found it to be mostly polyamourous couples in their 20’s on it. Tried it for about 2 months. I think it just doesn’t have the user base here to cater for a wide range of people.

How can you see location/ distance on it?

I checked it out and don't see that.

Very few on it say where they are, so kinda pointless.

OP - do try changing your Search settings to Fantasy every now and then, instead of Local, to see the pinkies meet now variety also

Feeld removed the distance indicator in the last update. Most likely because of the small user base.

We tried it a couple of years ago. The app was very clunky and hardly anyone in Ireland was on it. Left it quite quickly.

Best of luck with it! You'll have all the ladies after you with those pics anyway

General update so far: no matches, some great eye candy, seem to be some great genuine people on it though. Benefit of the doubt for the moment and see if anyone swipes on me.

I joined Feeld last December and have had some great experiences...I like the fact that it's full of open minded people looking to date but also have a kinky side. It's not just a hook up site like a lot of men use Fab for.

Full of people also that understand ENM relationships!

So thumbs up for me!

Thanks B! Probably a bit more choice in Dublin and from what others have said more choice for women anyway but in general it seems better than tinder or bumble if you don't want to go through ages of small talk before realising you're not into the same things

oh, the location thing is not because of small user base. it's a result of some bugs.

back in Early december they relaunched the app, all the code had been rewritten, and a bunch of features had issues.

They had changed it to automatically state the users local area, but it was too accurate - stating names of small villages for example. and they had to remove it for privacy concerns.

It will probably come back. I'd suggest using the search filters to try and ensure people are reachable.

It's honestly an atrocious app.

I have been very lucky to have some really great women on there a few months back.

But now it's just filled with bots. There are so few people on it especially women. They charge you extra for everything. Plus you get matched with people in Manchester etc.

It's a pity because like this site it could be great. But as usual is ruined by certain elements.

Tbf the relaunched app was shocking, Feeld was glitchy at the best of times and it got worse

Must say I’ve seen a bit of improvement in the week or so

Used it for a while but not many active users and really glitchy. App would just crash all the time.

Maybe with time and exposure it might get better but they would want to make it more stable.

I have been using it for a while. I like that many of the users have kink inclinations, so we are all on the same page. I met my current play partner on there and we have been at it for quite a while now. We have recently set up a couple profile to see if we find that elusive unicorn!

As many here pointed out, the problem is that there is a smaller user base outside the bigger cities. In Galway you run out of people fairly quickly. There are also quite a few bots but they’re easily spotted and avoided. And then people who match and never chat, or just disappear, but that’s the nature of the beast I think

I've found it's the same with Dublin, gone through within minutes and every few days a new profile pops up but most of the time it's a bit linking you to another app/site

I did pay for the subscription to be honest. Obviously able to see all the likes coming in and you could easily sift through profiles then that matched what you were looking for.

In general all the humans I met were very sound and unlike tinder which can be more about dating, most people on feeld are genuinely just looking for some fun and sexual exploration.

Yeah just an update on this. I've been on it now for a good few weeks. I've gotten one coffee meet from it and one play meet. The play meet was great, really on the same page about stuff. Besides that it's been dead but as everyone has said I reckon it's just a numbers game and there aren't many within 100km of me

I do have my face up on it and I'm not sure whether that makes my chances lower or higher, as I know some people are on it so value discretion etc. Sure anyway the Feeld experiment continues

Just came across someone I know from regular life on there. Knowing them, I'm not surprised they're on it at all and wish them the best of luck but I'd say they have no clue about us. We don't show facepics publicly on feeld exactly for this reason.
