On this awful miserable day let's cheer ourselves up by talking all things holidays!!
Although I've been to some lovely far flung places, one of my favourites is a trip I took through The Cotswolds a few years ago. Hired a car and spent a week travelling around. Weather was gorgeous so that just crowned it.
Devon & Cornwall is next on the list.
Looking forward to hearing of your favourite holiday memory... |

Won a all expensive paid trip to Valancia Spain because my daughter threw up on herself in Supervalu. Whilst using the staff loo to sort her out saw a display stand from Club Orange with competition where you texted. Few months later got a phone call to say we won. Amazing holiday would never have being possible to afford it. |

A week in the Dordogne on a family holiday. The smell of the countryside in the heat was like spices baking. We had a great day kayaking, and more exploring neandarthal sites, quaint towns and cave dwellings. Amazing history and a beautiful area. |

For me the most memorable holiday was a off road trip starting in Lhasa Tibet, driving west through many Tibetan villages, spectactular scenery / lakes, spending a night in Rongbuk monastry above 5000m next to Everest Base Camp then crossing into Nepal, Kathmandu, Pokara, Annapurnas and then camping in the jungle in southern Nepal. Epic in every sense of the word ! C4 |

Back in a different life. I booked 23 nights in the states (Nashville , Memphis & New Orleans (for music & food), 3 months after booking the flights I paid to change them to fly to Raleigh in North Carolina to go to a particular restaurant I'd seen on man v food. An unreal trip and sensory overload.
But if you ever want to completely switch off & reboot yourself, I can't recommend 3 weeks in one of the smaller Maldivian islands enough. My biggest problem was trying to switch back on lol.
