I've been on Fab for quite a while now and have met some great people who've become good friends. I am however a "Newbee" to the forums. I've only recently started looking in. I suppose I'm what you might call a lurker rather than a poster.
I've have however noticed a recurring undercurrent of negativity, back biting, rudeness and borderline bullying on many of the threads.
This one in particular spurred me to comment.
The Original Poster started this Thread as is his right. His post contained Typos/Misspellings..... So what.
This is a swing site, not an improve my english site, or please correct my spelling. Now I don't know the OP from Adam, but he could be Dyslexic, a foreign national or not so lucky as to have gotten a good education. Which ever, it doesn't matter, he is a member in good standing here. Straight away the "ribbing" started. I think some of the later comments were removed
There were comments asking if he went back to School, and about geneonas.
If someone has to belittle someone else to make themselves feel superior that is sad. Seriously I feel sorry for the Knocking, begrudging small minded people who get their kicks knocking the little guy.
Please imaging how the OP felt seeing the comments? We are all here for the same reason,we are randy feckers looking for fun. So please live and let live. (rant over)

I viewed this thread earlier and there were further comments that must have been removed and its not before time as that poster has nothing to contribute to the forums apart from being abusive to other users, there is no place here for people like that so long may it continue!  |

Im sorry I dont agree. Sexual attraction is 10% physical 90% mental. If you the person looks fantastic but cant string a sentence together, I for one am not interested. You need to be able to connect and chat and get on.
I know lots of people on here who get hugely turned off by people who talk in text. The experience is generally that you will chat to them say something that involves a few sentences and get a "ya" or "no" in reply.
Now maybe some people dont give a sugar whether there is nothing going on between someones ears as long as they look good, but I suspect the vast majority do.
I know I avoid and I know a lot of people that absolutely avoid text talkers because their experience has been its uninteresting.
I dont mean to single out the poster and everyone is entitled to post. But please. He has genuian in the title of his post and he uses exactly the same spelling in his profile. This isnt dsylexia. Its bone laziness. If you are going to post your views publicly on a forum by all means you are entitled to respect and not to be abused but if you are not going to do the basics, or correct the basics, its gives an impression of couldnt care less that the average swinger is going to pick up on and hit the delete button. |

tbh i know of people who have got a lifetime ban for less so it really does baffle me how some are still allowed to post at all |

I am not sure where all you posters get your information from, but I think you need to start taking it with a pinch of salt.
You don't get a permanent ban for bitching at someones spelling but you do get a short ban....but if you get the same ban over and over or multiple bans THEN you will get a perm ban.
Now I havn't a clue what is going wrong in this forum section, it used to be a fun happy forum to read....but lately it is a nightmare.
Surely you are all here for fun? if it isn't fun for people anymore then maybe do as the forum summary asks and take a break from it for a while.
I am going to shut this now as the poor OP thread has gone haywire.
To the OP..if you want to start another thats fine, hopefully people will respect your thread and keep the arguing and nasty comments off it. |
