"What are some nice pubs to visit in Belfast - places where it's a bit quieter and you have room to move? x
"
Yeah bit of a tough one to answer, most of the good and nice bars are busy because they’re good and nice
Cloth ear, sweet Afton worth a go |

"Well the crown is the main tourist one and the most famous. Other than that
The morning star
The cloth ear
Thr Spaniard"
Don’t know the last 3 pubs but 2 more nice ones are the
Harp Bar & the pub directly across from it where is has led lit unbrellas on the street at entrance to it.

"The garrick is good but can get busy.
Depending what type of bar your looking
Try jailhouse grand bar,
Cuba takes ages for a drink sometimes if cocktails
Ulster social club good craic
The duke of york small but gets a really great crowd and bouncing and usually standing room only unless u are early
Or union street for a fun night out
" I agree with this one and added my own take on it and avoid Robinson’s and The Crown are tourist easy picks, toilets filthy and hospitality from staff is rubbish. You will have a great night out and some fantastic restaurants to grab a bite earlier. |

The Green Room bar of the Black Box theatre doesn't usually get too crowded, has nice beer selection and can be great for people watching in the otherwise hectic Cathedral Quarter.
The Sunflower is a great bar with iconic 'cage' entrance and a large outdoor area with great pizza at weekends. Also very near the Kremlin/Maverick, nominally gay spots but always good vibes!
I'd second Ulster Sports Club, more of a hipster place and can get busy but great tunes out the back (events upstairs).
I'd also recommend the top floor Observatory bar of the Grand Central Hotel. Spendy cocktails but incredible panoramic views... feels very NYC. For similarly spendy (but better) cocktails, the bar of the Merchant Hotel is also great... amazing interior.
Belfast is also great for eating out in... tons of great value across the price ranges! |

Crown, harp, the national, Robinsons, harp, thirsty goat, dirty onion, granny Annie's- they all are always extremely packed and overpriced most with shockingly loud "live music" (usually a guy or two with guitars and massive amplifiers turned up to the max) with no room to move around unless you go out at 5pm and don't like staying out past 9pm.
AM:PM has great shows on,
Union Street bar has a fantastic Rooftop bar where you can roam around (Rooftop opens only on Saturday evenings).
Laverys is a good choice but can be cramped at times.
Revolution de Cuba is Huge! Their live music is not too loud and decor is gorgeous!
The House - bar atmosphere is stunning, although it does get quite loud and busy.
Tipsy Bird - a bit out of the way and they don't accept cash, but it's another beautiful wee bar.
My best suggestion is to go on a wee pub crawl through city centre and just settle where you like the most.
